HER STORY

For someone so seemingly simple, Pallion can be surprisingly complex. One moment she'll be collecting small pebbles because of their shiny qualities and shapes, yet the next she's memorized one hundred and forty-two stanzas of High Elf poetry. She never seems to know what day it is, much less year, yet knows instinctively how to find the herbs to make her own Stormwind Spices. Born and raised on Teldrassil, one would imagine her education and sophistication would be prevalent among her traits. However, upon hearing the news that there was more to the world then the cool, fluttering boughs of her home tree, she took the plunge into the wild world.

Literally and figuratively, that is. She long preferred the presence of the hippogryphs to other elves, yet was not allowed to explore with them. She had heard talk of her older brother Kaledevi, and finally decided to seek him out. Tired of being groomed into a priestess, when she felt her bow arm was strong enough she wrote a note to her mother explaining her absence and hopped off the tree.

Luckily the hippogryphs liked her and carried her safely to Auberdine. Once there, however, she had no clue how to find her erstwhile sibling, so had to rely on her survival skills to find him. Animals easily found their way to her company and she was never truly alone. Soon she found her brother, sleeping in bear form, and awakened him to his Elven form the first time in countless years. Her presence startled him, yet she took it all in stride that her brother was a bear; to her it made sense, after all, since it WAS a Tuesday.

Unwilling to go back to ‘that tree’ and unable to stay still in one place for very long, she set out to explore the world denied her for two hundred and forty-seven years. She travels with the confidence one has with a bear for a brother and the lack of experience that can kill optimism.

APPEARANCE and TRAITS

Pallion is reed-thin and lanky, a pre-teen with unkempt hair and a decisive lake of curves that other Night Elf women possess. She tends to wear what she has on hand without much thought to color, coordination, or style, but tends to run for reds, her favorite color. She also has a wide mouth that easily breaks into smiles and fits of giggles, and a voice that people call ‘unrefined’ when being polite. She’s still short, only six feet tall, with lavender skin. Due to her hobby of cooking she usually smells of spices and smoked meats. Her specialty is thick, hearty stews and dishes that can stave off hunger all day.

PETS

As she traveled she has met and befriended many animals, and some have followed her as far as Outland. Blind the polar bear, Porkula, that poor, undead boar from the plague lands, and Grumpy, the first bear she met outside of Teldrassil, have long since parted and returned to their homes. However, Zod, the Razzashi Serpent she met in Zul'Gurub has been one of her more loyal friends. Mourning Grail, a large black wolf that never seems to get ANY love or ANY food, remains near the shadows. However, her new love in life is Joust, a tallstrider from the floating islands in the south of Terrokar. Sturdy, durable, and smart enough to keep her out of trouble, Joust has the current job of nudging her away from danger. Smaller pets also seem to follow her around, like Snerkie, a worg pup. So far she seems unconcerned about their presence or where they come from, and just enjoys their company.

Like all seasoned travelers Pallion has a series of animals to ride upon. Kai and Misty, two sabers from Darnassus, have since passed the reigns on to SKitty, the unfortunately named gryphon. His name is a combination of Sky and Kitty, the exclamation of joy she made when seeing him for the first time. Laid back and easy going, SKitty is, as he says, “smarter then the name makes me out to be.” Of all of her animal companions he seems the smartest, and so far, the most successful in his task of her safety.

FAMILY and FRIENDS

Kaledevi Vagrantwind:

Her much older druid brother has sometimes been mistaken as her father, a role he finds himself both enjoying and confused with. At times he just wants to take her by the scruff of her neck and place her someplace she can’t get hurt in, but is wise enough to know she’ll just wriggle free and wander off again.

Hevarja Darkblade:

Hevarja has the unlucky position of being his friend’s friend, and as such, occasionally gets pulled into looking out for Pallion. On the surface he appears to be irritated with her, but would never let a single hair on her head be split.

HER THOUGHTS

Pallion isn’t as stupid as people think she is. She’s a simple, cheerful individual with a sense of mischief and adventure, determined to begin and end each day with a smile. But she’s also fast on her feet and able to make wise decisions. Her youth and eagerness tend to override that, however.

She doesn’t care for gnomes that much, since she can’t comprehend their love of technology and large words, and humans don’t seem to comprehend nature. Dwarves generally amuze her, however. Pallion holds a strange facination of Draenei, those demonic creatures with gentle smiles. She has an extreme dislike of Blood Elves, narcissistic addicts with false emotions and empty smiles.
