From WoWWiki
My alias is Toque of pinktoque.com. I've been playing World of Warcraft since a few months into its initial release. I am currently playing Horde-side on a RP/PvP realm, but all of my previous World of Warcraft experience prior to April 2008 lies with my rich history of playing Alliance characters on normal PvE realms only. It wasn't until recently that I took the plunge and went Horde on a PvP realm for something completely new and different. I was really missing out! My Horde characters are now my new main(s)/alt(s) and focus with my original Alliance characters now officially retired. I've participated in both the Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King betas. See below for my retired character information and history.

My Current Main and Alt(s)
My current main is Amoothyst, tauren Druid on the U.S. Emerald Dream RP/PvP realm. She is a member of the Bloodscourge Pillagers.
My current active alt is Ameythyst, blood elf Shadow Priest on the U.S. Emerald Dream RP/PvP realm. She is also a member of the Bloodscourge Pillagers. She was my original main until I got my Druid to 70 but is now on the back burner for a bit.

My Retired Character History
Way back in the beginning I had a night elf Hunter named Peppermint on the Silvermoon PvE realm. I know, original, right? She later made way for the alt that became my old main, Minty the gnome Warlock. I also had a few other lower level alts, but Minty became my main and Peppermint gathered dust. After getting Minty to 60 and later taking a break from the game, I came back to beta test the Burning Crusade expansion. I jumped on the "free realm transfers for overpopulated realms" bandwagon when Silvermoon offered them due to long queue times and transferred to the PvE realm of Arathor. Minty became Toque, and thus my alias was born. Peppermint came with me to Arathor and she leveled a bit more, but eventually stopped at level 62. Toque made it to 64 before I took another break from the game. When I came back I decided to try out the Priest class, and created Lekku, a draenei Priest. Lekku adventured all the way to 70 as a Shadow Priest, and I loved playing shadow. I tried out a holy spec for a bit and decided that being a healbot was not for me. After awhile I found myself getting a bit bored with the same old thing and wanted to try something new, so in April 2008 I created Ameythyst, a blood elf Priest on the RP/PvP realm of Emerald Dream with some friends of mine from my old guild back in Star Wars Galaxies. My Horde character was fun and exciting because she was my first Horde, and the game became all new again. Being on a RP/PvP realm was also a first for me, and suddenly the entire game was fresh. Viewing things and questing from a Horde point of view meant that all of my questing and leveling was different and new, instead of the same old things in the same old places. Having to watch out for Alliance in contested zones made every quest thrilling because I never knew who was waiting to gank around the corner or whether I'd make it back alive. This increased awareness has also made me a better player because I'm better prepared and always learning how to handle impromptu world PvP within the boundaries of my class; experience I did not have from my older characters. It also made me exercise creativity; I know Azeroth like the back of my hand from the Alliance point of view, but the challenge of having to find Horde towns and outposts and figuring out the best route to get from point A to point B through contested or enemy territory made the game so much more fun and exciting. I also learned to hate the Alliance ;) Anyway, the old Peppermint, Minty/Toque and Lekku and all of my low level Alliance alts are officially retired.* For the Horde! My new main, Ameythyst, and any future alts will all be Horde on Emerald Dream.
- In October 2008 these retired characters were moved to the Medivh realm to be able to play with another friend of mine when I wasn't busy on Emerald Dream. However, I still haven't really played them and don't plan on it very often.
About the Real Toque - Lesley
In real life I am a 28 year old elementary school teacher living happily ever after in Calgary, AB Canada with my husband Lucas and our handsome dogs Oliver and Winston. Why Toque? Well... it is my favourite word of all time. Contrary to what you might be thinking, I am actually an American living in Canada. I've been obsessed with the Canadian word for years, and my switch to Arathor and Minty's name change to Toque was all around the same time that I moved to Canada. It just seemed fitting ;) I am originally from Greenwood, IN. And while I don't play as "Toque" anymore, it is still my alias and my nickname for all things gaming. I also use pinktoque as my alias across various gaming (and non-gaming) websites such as WoWHead, GameSpot, YouTube, WoWWiki, etc. You can check out my heavily-WoW influenced gaming website and all of my gaming articles at pinktoque.com. Here I like to sound off about my opinions on gaming topics and create fun in-character articles about life in the world of Azeroth.
