History
Shunned and seen as outcasts, Demon Hunters are never too common, but are held up as a deadly warriors and sometimes the most important part in a defense against demons, or many other enemies.
The first, and most famous, Demon Hunter was Illidan Stormrage who was banished for his trafficking with demons. He got power directly from Sargeras and the Skull of Gul'dan and so newer budding Demon Hunters have found other ways to gain power. The most common is the sacrificing of a demon and the binding a portion of its spirit inside the potential Demon Hunter's followed by the ritualistic burning out of the eyes.
Demon Hunters, as the name states, have an intense hatred for demons, and also the Scourge. The hatred they share for the Burning Legion is only comparable to the hate they have for Death Knights, the Scourge's champions. They are at their performance peak when fighting these foes.
Becoming a Demon Hunter
Demon Hunter unlocking is much the same as the Death Knight. You will get one per realm after any other character reaches level 55, but not be allowed to have a Death Knight. The path of the newly fledged Demon Hunter will be parallel to the Death Knight, starting under Illidan but eventually freeing oneself from his grasp and free to carry on adventuring. There are no racial limitations, but PvP ones for PVP Realms.
Class Overview
Demon Hunters are DPS classes, dealing damage out very quickly taking enemies on one on one or many at once. As the Demon Hunter can only wear cloth armor he has high stamina and agility, receiving melee damage boosts as well from agility points.
Demonic Energy
The same as mana, energy and rage, the Demon Hunter's resource is demonic energy. It is fasted regained and directly regained by landing blows (white damage) on demons and undead (slightly slower on undead), much like rage. You also gain demonic energy from damaging Death Knights.
