RTS units project

Final commentary: What started as a lore and cleanup based project quickly turned into a gameplay mess. It started as a bunch of obscure, duplicate, nonexistent, messy, and inconsistent pages, which I attempted to organize. I created a series of navboxes, and proceeded to add all the information I could to relevant articles. When the project gained popularity, no synchronization or planning cold be achieved. This situation was masked behind walls of text on the talk page. I gave the RTS a voice, and it yelled at me. I am not against gameplay, but not this. {{WC3UnitBox}} is still a mess and takes up a lot of space, and {{Warcraft III units}} became a sparse battle.net copy with the lore pages removed. The several minor creeps added for Forum:RTS missions had some merit as a direction, but there are too many naming and rampant page splitting issues.

New era of citation project

Final commentary: The expansion and advertisement of WoWWiki:Citation went well, but it stopped there. The "mass-cite" idea was a pipe dream. The fancy, professional citation templates were ignored in favor of a series of ridiculously simple <Ref>-based notes (that I shamefully embraced). Several guidelines I wrote on WoWWiki:Citation have been contradicted or ignored, but the page has not been updated to document these changes in the communities’ attitude, so consistency suffers.

  • Add screenshots to Pit of Narjun. Find out where it was in Warcraft III. Arthas: Rise of the Lich King does not help. The waterfalls were removed in beta?
  • Change all mentions of "Sandwichman2449" to "Sandwichman2448" myself, before more dead links come about.
  • Get comments about Forum:Common sense. It is not an attack on, or attempted channeling of, Fandyllic. Should I bring up what I took his final thoughts to be? He quit (not my fault), so it is his own fault is no one champions them, but his last points sting. I did it. I brought them up. See below.
  • Do something with WoWWiki:Community teams? See User:Sandwichman2448/Sandbox3. Get it done. Cleanly. It seems to be so ingrained in many old pages, I may just remove links newer users are likely to find, and archive them all. Exept those damn cleaners... Wait, I'm one!
  • Make pages about Tales of the Past make sense. Talked about a bit on Forum:Fanfic database. User:Sandwichman2448/Tales of the Past. Done. I'll see what people think. There may be an unwritten rule that fan works outside of WoWWiki do not have to be a server or user subpage, but I do not see it enforced consistently.
  • Resurrect Trapper? Is the list of races that have the class from the RPG or WCIII creeps? Both? The ones in Grizzly Hills are Trappers. Too little info.
