The Gaiscioch Syndrome is the practice of mixing up Out of Character and In Character, to the point where the player cannot shake the need to talk in character at all times and in all situations. This has been coined by the Earthen Ring (EU) guild, the Ironforge Guards, in reference to Gaiscioch, ex-Commander of the guild and highly notorious for forgetting where he stops and the character starts.

This syndrome is usually to be found amongst Dwarven role players.
