Skreeran II was spared the destruction of the world, but that was not the end. He awoke to a new world, green and living, untouched by war. He soon stumbled upon a tribe of Proto-elves (some being survivors of the Remaking). He lived among them, even as they camped upon the banks of a still lake. The lake of course turned out to be the Well of Eternity, which slowly changed the proto-elves into the Night elves we know today. The curious thing is, Skreeran II was relatively untouched by the change. This caused some distrust in the early elves, but his fears were quickly allayed by Azshara, who detected his potential for harnessing the magic they all coveted. Unfortunately, this only led to disaster, when Azshara opened the portal to the Twisting Nether for Sargeras and his Burning Legion to enter through.
After the Sundering, he met with some of the Highborne who had survived. They agreed that though magic was corrupting and could be used for evil, it was not the sole cause of what had happened. They utterly believed that magic could continue to be used for the good of the world. But the other elves did not think the same. Tension grew for centuries, until finally, the Quel'dorei decided to show their Night Elf brethren the power of magic. They conjured up a great arcane storm, that tore through the forest. Outraged, the Night Elves gave the Highborne a terrible choice: exile, or death.
Skreeran II left with the High Elves, where he continued to live for four-thousand years outliving all his High Elf brethren, (the Ancient Elves were virtually immortal, in contrast to modern elves, who apart from outside influence, only live a few hundred years) except for one. Lëana, who he later took as his wife, was also an ancient elf who had survived the Remaking. Together they faced the years, and she bore him a son. Larema they named him, "Light-blessed." But then the troll wars came. Skreeran II rose to the call and went to war. It was there that he met his aging brother Skortha, and his rugged son, who was named Sergrahn. However, finding that Skreeran II had not named his son after his father, Skortha and Sergrahn begged him to let Sergrahn take the name as the next-in-line. Skreeran II permitted it, and so Sergrahn was forever after known as Skreeran III.
Almost three millennia later, the Second War came about. With the elves once again forming an Alliance with Humans, Skreeran II met another descendant of his brother. Skreeran VII, a human mage, had heard of Skreeran II in family tales, and was ecstatic to meet him in person. Spending many months studying with Skreeran II, he soon discovered the true origin of the world and his kin.
Skreeran II now spends his days with the Blood Elves, and Lëana often travels as an Ambassador to the Horde and Alliance.
Larema became a powerful Blood Knight General, but unfortunately, he contracted the plague when Arthas and the Scourge attacked the Sunwell. He was hit in the left arm by an axe wielded by a skeleton, causing him a great loss of function in his arm, and preventing him from ever wielding a shield again, and even worse, his wound became infected with the plague. He treated it with herbs and magic, preventing it from spreading for almost 8 years. However, though the herbs localized the disease, it was slowly eating into the walls of a major artery. So regrettably, he recently woke up and found that he had lost all control of the left side of his body, and that he could hear the voice of the Lich King in his mind. It was only a matter of time until he made his way to Northrend and was turned into a Death Knight. However, he has freed himself along with many other Knights at the battle of Light's Hope Chapel, and now prepares to assault Northrend itself. He does feel a seperation between himself and the other Sin'dorei though, and has made a personal connection to Sylvanas Windrunner, who plans to mold him into a champion of the Forsaken.
The Second Branch of the Skreeran Family
Edit
While the Skreeran clan has become a major power among humans in the Alliance, a large branch of the family also exists among the Blood and High Elves. Calling themselves the Sons of the Second, these elves hail Skreeran II as their leader, rather than Skreeran I, and exhibit a near fanatical loyalty to their half-elf patriarch. Although most members of this family live among the Blood elves, the majority of the family are technically High Elves, as at the urging of Skreeran II, none of the family partook in the consuming of demon magic alongside the rest of the Blood elves, instead turning to The Shadow for power. This resulted is a very large number of Shadow Priests in the family, with Skreeran II being the chief example.
Conflict has arisen between the two branches before, even among allies, such as Skreeranian Humans and High Elf Sons of the Second in Theramore, but as of yet, no serious attacks have been made, the worst fights simply leaving victims bruised and broken, but still alive. With the reconciliation of Skreeran II with his father, unity is slowly, but steadily being achieved by the rival families, though tension remains high.
