Skreeran V was one of the original priests who founded the Church of the Holy Light. Though the Holy Light was known of long before the Church, the Church allowed people who were not priests to enter and worship. He moved to Northshire, and helped set up the abbey there.
Skreeran V believed that the Light was a power of healing, and that a priest should not engage in wars, but rather, mend the hurt, and comfort those who had lost loved ones. This was in direct contrast to his daughter, Serian I, who believed that the Light had a place in combat as well, and could be used to defeat evil aggressively. But while they disagreed, they were always kind to each other, and pure of heart. Skreeran V eventually helped refugees flee Stormwind and the Orcish Horde in the First War.
Skreeran V had a sister as well. Seriel, inspired by tales of her father stealthily making his way through the forest, and his being saved from death by a Rogue, she learned the way of the assassin, and later fought briefly in the First War. She was ten years younger than her brother, and thus, she was around 45 when the War began. Seriel was killed defending Stormwind and was turned into one of the first Death Knights. Fortunately, she was recently freed by Skreeran I, who tore the Warlock's spirit from her body, allowing her to reclaim it.
