Living in Eastfall Jungle, the Forest trolls from the Treebash tribe were native with other Forest troll tribes in northern Lordaeron. In the time before the rise of the night elves, the Treebash tribe were led by Chieftain Lexxia, daughter of Zul'jin. The Treebash tribe was forced to obey the Amani tribe by Zul'jin's proposal since he feared that his daughter would turn against him.
After forming an alliance with the Gurubashi Empire, the Troll tribes fought against the aqir, eventually disrupting the insectoid empire into two nations. With the arising of the night elves and Zul'jin's betrayal from the Horde, Lexxia gathered many Forest trolls to serve under her command against the Kaldorei and plan to overthrow the Amani. However, she ordered her tribe to stand down when the Burning Legion invaded the planet. While other tribes were forced to remain separate and hide in the wilderness from the demonic legion, the Treebash tribe were forced to move south from Lordaeron.
It took nearly a few weeks for the tribe to find a hidden place where they would remain hidden during the invasion and the start of the Second War. They were able to discover a hidden land when they passed through the Burning Steppes and were able to find sanctuary. After the tribe remained hidden in Eastfall Jungle, it is revealed that the Treebash tribe weren't the only ones that remained there, but the land was ruled by many Forest trolls and Jungle trolls that worked together in building a capital city named Zara'lar. Lexxia and her tribe were welcomed by Chieftain Jitara and offered them sanctuary. Lexxia and Jitara fell in love and united the tribes to protect the land.
When N'Zoth awakened, Eastfall Jungle was invaded by an army of Dark trolls from Blackhand tribe. The Forest trolls and their Jungle troll allies fought together and killed many to prevent them from attacking the land. When the Dark trolls were preparing another assault, they were overwhelmed by the Blood elves of the Horde. Seeing that other Trolls (that fled from the Legion's defeat) were on the Blood elve's side, they offered their service to the Horde.
