|Faction/Affiliation||Prophets of the Sun|
|Racial leader(s)||Tyro Winvar|
When the Sun eladrins were primitive, they received visions from great beings of light. They warned them of a great darkness drawing ever closer to their world. Upon their world appeared a massive crystal. This monument shielded the entire world from the sight of the Burning Legion. The giant crystal bestowed upon the Sun eladrins powers of the light, for years to come.
The Moon eladrins and the Wood eladrins separated over time from the Sun eladrins, taking a third of the crystal with them. Each gained the powers of the moon and forest, but they never forgot their deep connection with the light. The Sun eladrins had a stronger connection to the light then their moon and wood brothers. For many millennia, all three races lived in peace; each power growing stronger and becoming wiser. Unfortunately, the crystal was never supposed to be divided.
The Naaru, who gave them the crystal in the first place, knew that they had divided their precious gift into three. They were hoping the combined eladrins would understand soon that it should be made whole without their guidance. When the light shield around their world began to fade, they knew that they had to intervene.
When the Naaru revealed themselves to the eladrins, not all of them wanted to accept their ways at first. While the Sun eladrins agreed to follow, the Moon and Wood eladrins had their suspicions. These beings came out of nowhere, claimed to be the ones protecting them, and now ask for their assistance? They did not listen right away. It cost them their homes.
Shortly after a meeting, the Burning Legion began their invasion on the planet. When the Wood eladrins were corrupted, their ties to the light were the only thing that allowed them to contact the Moon eladrins. The Moon eladrins, who saw what was happening, went to the Sun eladrins for help. The Sun eladrins agreed to their assistance and found a way to save them. Tyro Winvar, the superior leader of the Sun eladrins, contacted the Naaru and spoke with A'dal. A'dal had wondered how to free them from corruption as well. Tyro's affinity with the light was almost as bright as A'dal himself, yet, he still wasn't perfect. With limited time, A'dal bestowed upon Tyro, some of what he knew, and gave a portion of his power to Tyro as well. Now, Tyro and his people had the power to free those who were in the process of corruption. With the army of Wood eladrins, massing on the Sun eladrins, Tyro and his people shined the light upon them. The Wood eladrins were all freed from the corruption that burned right out of them.
Traveling to ArgusEdit
After freeing the Wood eladrins from their corruptive selves, the Sun eladrins believed that their homeworld was no longer safe. All three races decided to travel with the Naaru in their attempts to find a new home bringing everything they could with them. The Naaru, along with the eladrins, were able to cure several races and even save worlds from corruption. Hoping to find their new home, the Sun, Moon, and Wood eladrins were guided by the Naaru through a portal which led them to Argus.
The Sun eladrins saw only a land which was nearly dead. The Sun eladrins were told by the Naaru, "We have already helped those we could here. Now it is your turn. You must fulfill your purpose and light to this world once more. Drive the Darkness back". While the Moon and wood eladrins discovered lands that were empty, the Sun eladrins still remained in contact with them. Both races were able to reform the lands and help the Sun eladrins in return. After many long years, Tyro had his plan. He was to ready to purify the Eredar. The Sun eladrins later created a city when they came under attack by the Man'ari eredar during the start of the Burning Legion's invasion on Argus. These Eredar, under the command of Talgath, were angry at how they had lost Velen and took their anger out on the first things they found: The Eladrins. The Sun eladrins fought back, but they did not kill them. Instead, their tactic was to lore small groups from the main group and cure them. Unfornuately, their corruption was worse then they had ever encountered. Tyro did not give up. Faith in the light unwavering, he would heal this land and its inhabitants. Just like the Naaru had done for their world, Tyro built a shield of light around the city, cutting off the Man'ari attack.
Talgath, impressed with their power, was still disappointed that he could not breach the light shield. He eventually told his forces to back down. The Man'ari left the land and the Sun eladrins sent their word to the Moon and Wood eladrins. Receiving their advice, both sub-races were able to create their own shields as well to prevent the enemy invading them. Together, all three races expanded their shields to cover a massive area over the lands they inhabit. They then take the shield and everything inside, traveling to a pocket dimension where they build and plan to restore the planet Argus over the next 25,000 years.
Thousands of years have passed, the Sun, Moon, and Wood eladrins were able to return to Argus and prepare for their final act against the corrupted ones. This time, the power of the light was much stronger then ever. Talgath, along with the Eredar, returned to Argus seeing if they could fight these enemies once more. Together, the Sun, Moon, and Wood eladrins prepare to unleash a mighty storm of light. As Talgath neared the storm with a huge army by his side, the combined might of the eladrins unleashed the storm. Most of Eredar were completely cured from the corruption while the rest fled in horror. Tyro sensed the commander had been one of the cured. Talgath was depressed and upset over the many things he had wrought. Tyro decided to give all the Eredar sanctuary and years to recover.
Sending Word to AzerothEdit
It had taken some time for Talgath to recover from this horror, but when he did, he decided that he should be the one to personally go to Azeroth and seek out his old friend Velen. He had no idea how Velen would react after seeing his friend once again; last time they saw each other, Talgath was trying to kill Velen. While the Eladrins of the Moon, Sun, and Wood continued to restore the planet and curing other inhabitants across the way, Talgath travels to Azeroth alone with Tyro and a few Sun eladrins by their side. Arriving to Azuremyst Isle, Tyro and Talgath met with Velen himself, waiting for them outside the gates. How had he known that they were coming, Tyro and his companions introduce themselves and reveal that they were the ones that restored Argus. Velen was surprised and saw that his old friend was no longer corrupted. Instead of being an enemy, he was now friends.
Velen thanked the Eladrins for their heroic actions of restoring Argus and sends word to all members of the Alliance. However, the news was also given to the Horde as well. Tyro Winvar saw that the Alliance and Horde were enemies to each other, so he decided that these two factions should work together and help the eladrins to fight against the upcoming darkness. Both factions agreed and the Sun eladrins create portals to connect from their world to Azeroth.
Like all of the eladrins in Argus, Sun eladrins resemble as humans, but with notable differences. Their heights are up to eight feet. Sun eladrins have bronze -colored skin and hair most often of copper, golden blond, and black, with red more uncommon but heard of. Sun eladrins typically have yellow eyes and described to be very beautiful in appearance.
