A Customer Service MVP on the official forums.

Who Am I?

I actually work/study in the computer science field, but I've avoided the Tech Support forum - props to TWulf, but troubleshooting long distance is frustrating. I post in the Customer Service forum. Usually that involves knowing where all the FAQs are, a lot of links, how to find other weird rules/info, and a good memory, with room for the occasional thread of troubleshooting. I have often moderated in other sorts of forums, so that may influence my posting style.

I did not play many MMOs before WoW, but did play many games on a large LAN - Diablo II took up many hours in full groups, without Battlenet. While I don't RP much in WoW, I've played many RPGs... and even "sunk" to LARPing. I did beta test some games that were not Blizzard games and found it interesting, but I don't tend to be on the PTR much (other than quickly checking out some change), because it seems too much like redoing something I'm already playing/leveling/etc. However, I have multiple family members, neighbors, and friends who play the game and keep me involved in many varied aspects of it (and who make sure I hear of every possible problem ... because it likely affects at least one of them).

What do I play?

I do have more than one account, but started playing in Fall '05 - that probably makes me one of the newer players of the MVPs. My main is a raiding off-tank, and I've raided healing in the past. I tend to stay in the PvE side of things, though I do occasionally drag myself over for IRL friends who PvP (more recently for some PvP family types). Having more than one account, I can also post grey if need be, which helps at times. It also allows me to occasionally attempt a bit of dual-boxing, which I do rarely and in an unorganized manner. You'd probably find me a fairly average player. I have alts, on various servers, but tend to stick to a current main. Mostly I raid, and its a very good progressing guild, but not one of the very top ones you'd know off the server. I occasionally PvP, but its not a big focus - I might have points for something every so often.
