I am a tech writer by day (writing software manuals) and a copy editor by night. Amazing I still manage to play WoW a lot.

Most of my contributions to WoWWiki are in the form of copy edits for readability. I really enjoy being able to take what might be confusing descriptions, and editing them to make them easy to read and understand. To me it's almost like a puzzle, like taking a ball of knotted-up yarn and getting it all untangled.

I play mostly casters. I'm not a keyboard-turner but I don't have the fast twitch responses I need to play a tank or a rogue, I think. It probably also explains why I kind of suck in Arenas.

I play on carebear servers. As of August 2009 I have 2 level 80 priests and an 80 fire mage. In April, I applied to and was accepted to a progressive raiding guild on Draka-US. The guild bemoaned its lack of Discipline-specced priests, so I gave it a shot... and I have never looked back. From a raiding standpoint, I can't think of any other class/spec combo I would rather be doing. The rest of my characters are all on Garona-US, Horde-side, all in the same guild. Feeling a little wistful at having abandoned my social guild with my main, I leveled up my second priest to 80. She is much more of a hybrid (shadow/disc) because we are not short on healers at the moment, amazingly enough. And it lets me DPS, which I don't do in raids on Draka. That said, for pure fun, my favorite little mascot is my little orc hunter. She is now level 58 (she just visited Thrallmar the other day). She has an odd quirk: She insists that her hunter pets be allowed to bring their young ones to work. That means any time she runs around with her pink tallstrider "Mulgore," her Mulgore Hatchling is close by. Her raptor "Obsidian"? The cutest little hatchling, Obsidian Hatchling, is right by her side.

I have to say, the priest is my favorite class. I'm looking forward to dual speccing. It's one of the reasons I decided to let my shadow priest stay at level 70.
