Thalassus is the capital city of Quel'Ithil. It's locatation is located on Isle of Quel'Ithil, northwestern of Northeron. Ruled by Prince Eldin Sunstrider.
Thalassus is one of the High Elven city which not affected by the Third War. Also the Great Research which freed joined High Elves from magic addiction has beginned in this city.

History

Founded by Ithilia Sunstrider, daughter of Dath'remar Sunstrider. Named the Island, Isle of Quel'Ithil, to be a memorial to her. 5000 years later, the high elves has built a city on the island, for make their territory in Northeron
Millienia after, the Third War has been erupted, The Scourge march on Silvermoon, led to the Fall of Silvermoon. Strangely, the high elves of Quel'Ithil doesn't affected by the third war, and also, they doesn't know about Silvermoon's fall, until the survivors have reached Quel'Ithil and tell about Silvermoon's fall
Not long later curse of the blood elves has been erupted, Prince Eldin Sunstrider has led remnants of his people to research a way to stop their addiction to magic, and they has made it.
After Kael'thas' defeat in the Magister's Terrace and Kil'Jaeden's defeat in Sunwell Plateau. The High Elves of Quel'Ithil has been succeed to construct new Sunwell. By the blood elves' thirst for magic and Lor'themar Teron has splitted from under commanding by Sunstrider Dynasty. The Blood Elves has attacked Thalassus, to conquer new Sunwell
Later Eldin has led his people to join the Alliance. the blood elves which attacking Thalassus has been wiped out

The inhabited half of the city is arranged into separate but linked areas that each carry a unique feel.

- Anasterian Rise (area just beyond the south gate, the area which connect Upper and Lower city)
- Noble's District (training area next to the Sun's Row)
- The Park (profession training area in western of Walk of Youngers)
- Valley of Triumps (area which led to the north gate, City FFA Arena is Located here)
- Military district (area between Walk of youngers and Anasterian Rise)
- Quel'Ithil Harbor (city harbor)
- Sunstrider Square (royal district beyond Tradesmen Square)
