Flame and ShadowEdit
After the catastrophic recreation of Azeroth called the Cataclysm, and the return of Deathwing, heroes were driven even harder against the Lich King. Arthas Menethil's soul was freed from damnation, and Ner'zhul, now released from his prison inside the Lich King, quickly escapes to the Underworld. With the Scourge in need of a King, Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, who escaped death at the Wrathgate, willingly took his place, keeping the Scourge in check and becoming their eternal jailor. Meanwhile, Ner'zhul has healing, to take over his Master's plan in destroying Azeroth. Wielding the power of the Underworld, Ner'zhul has driven half of the Black Dragonflight to death, forming the sinister Dark Dragonflight, wielders of chaos. Releasing the few remaining Old Gods and letting their powers loose, Ner'zhul is now the self-proclaimed Lord of the Underworld. Along with the heat of the Elemental Plane that seeps through the scars in the earth, now a far darker force seethes out. The Arcanists of Dalaran have stepped up to the call of war, and have brought the art of Scrying with them. Ner'zhul wields his demon magic along with a more shadowy form of necromancy, and has called forth the ultimate force of the Old Gods, the Underworld, Shadow... and Flame.
