The Burning Sword Edit

After the Crystal Dragonflight was destroyed, and the Emerald Dream cleansed of the arcane, Azeroth was left in peace. After perhaps several months of this 'peace', a reborn Bolvar Fordragon strikes against Ironforge and the Undercity, devastating some districts of the cities. The Alliance and Horde follow in the footsteps of the past, returning to Northrend to find it devastated and engulfed in flame. Bolvar Fordragon, the New Lich King, is gone... only the Lich King remains now. The Scourge have been transformed into half-sentient, abomination-like creatures. Bolvar carries a reforged Frostmourne, now the deathly Firemourne. The second war against the living has been waged, and you and all adventurers must answer the call of war. (Return to Northrend on the original boat/zeppelins for original Northrend, new boat/zeppelins for new Northrend.)

The Arakkoa have been a strange and wonderous race in the never-ending fight of Azeroth. They come from a newly discovered piece of Draenor called Shatterland. This small realm broke off of southern Draenor when the Dark Portal was opened by Medivh and Gul'dan. It was lost in the Twisting Nether for all eternity. Until now. A tear in the fabric of space has opened up in Celestial Ridge. It leads to Shatterland, the true but destroyed home of the arakkoa. It has been twisted and corrupted by the Burning Legion except for the far eastern side. The Corrupted Arakkoa living on the western side have been tranformed by the power of Arthas's corrupted spirit, which lies in the Shattered Spire. Led by the great Prince Ikivik Talonbreath, the son of Terokk, the arakkoa have seen the Light and have embraced it, thus joining the mighty Alliance. He has built a tower where Terokk's Rest used to be and will point adventurers to the new location of Terokk's Rest. The talon priests that didn't change their ways quickly took the remains of Terokk and fled to Shatterland. There they took their place in a spot in the uncorrupted zone. Adventurers must now go there to complete the quest Terokk's Downfall. Horde players will have to travel to an arakkoa in the rebellious camp in the Barrens to start this quest. To get to Terokk's Rest, Horde players must travel through a portal made by an arakkoa mage in the rebellious group and can then travel up into the tower. Only when you are on this quest will the guards not attack you. Once you speak with Ikivik, he will end with, "Now, talon guards, get him!" it is now that a portal will open beside you and you must step through it to get back to the rebellious camp. End the quest normally and speak with the rebellious leader again to claim your prize.
