Appearance

Yimlan is around six foot. No taller than the average human.He has black hair and a beard. He usually does not wear a helmet, wears heavy plate armor, and a large two-handed sword. He seems comfortable with all that heavy armor on and moves fast with it as well. He has a strong looking fighting stance and swings his sword as if it were a wooden stick.

Personality

Yimlan is a witty man and is a great strategist. Unfortunately, since he is not in the army of the Alliance he is not known for it. He is quiet and only speaks when spoken to. He is a kind man, but likes to resort to violence as though it was his only motive. Although, Yimlan also knows when peace is the better choice. He will always enjoy a festival or party (as long as there's some brew around) and likes to go off and search about mysteries of the world and seeks to find a way to destroy the Lich King to get revenge on what he did to his family and his brother. Yimlan overall is a nice, heplful man. However, since the assault on Northrend began he has become much more violent and a bit ruthless.

Name and Family

Yimlan's name came from is grandfather ,Yimonalin, who was thought to have been until recently deceased. He also has a cousin named, Yimlin, who is a paladin. Most of Yimlan's family was killed in the Culling of Stratholme, including his cousin. He saw his family murdered and seeks to find any surviving family members left alive. However his younger brother ,Yaron, was out of town training to become a knight when this all happened. All of his friends he knew in Stratholme died too which led to him becoming more solitary. Also he discovered his cousin, Yimlin, to have survived and his grandfather who was thought to be dead a long time ago.

Politics and Beliefs

Yimlan believes that the war of the Horde and Alliance is very pointless and wants them to work together to destroy common enemies that threaten their very existence. He believes the Scourge is what needs to be under everyone's attention and wants to help eradicate them from this world. However, he does not want to destroy the Forsaken because he knows of what their tale is, that they are just humans of Lordaeron seeking to reclaim their homeland. When it comes to faith, Yimlan grew up to believe in the Light. Recently he learned of the existence of the Titans and that they created much life on Azeroth.

History: Part 1Edit

Early LifeEdit

Yimlan was born into farm life with an older sister and a younger brother. His parents both grew up together and lived in an orphanage (although Yalono was technically not an orphan) and were young when they were born and couldn't afford anything, but a farm. All of their children were born in Arathi Highlands, which is where Yimlan grew up. He was learning to be a stable boy to earn money. His older sister, Helira was very kind to him and aided Yimlan whenever he needed it. His younger brother, Yaron, was a bit disobedient to his parents and often ran away at times, but always eventually came back. Yaron kept a journal with him at all times and wrote all of his thoughts in it. One day news struck of Stormwind being destroyed by the rampaging orcs and that the Horde was coming for the other kingdoms, the entire family fled to the city of Lordaeron where they stayed for plenty of years. This is where Yimlan learned of the Light.

He was a stable boy and earned a good amount of money while at the Capital City of Lordaeron, but his parents kept taking his money saying they need it more for the family. They were right. Everyone at Lordaeron was rich and the people who were poor usually couldn't even afford for a meal. Luckily, since Helira, Yimlan, and Yaron were all earning money the family could afford for all the practical things in which you would need to live with. As the years went by the family moved yet again to the glorious city of Stratholme. Yimlan was now of age to go and seek out a life of adventure and wonder...until that fateful day.

A Changed FutureEdit

A week before Yimlan was to depart and begin to explore the world an army appeared in front of the city. Then without warning the city was suddenly being attacked by Arthas and his men. Yimlan first noticed what was going on when he was at the local shop and heard a scream. He then ran outside to see what was happening when he witnessed a citizen being murdered, who was his older sister. Arthas killed her with one swing of his weapon. Yimlan then ran back to warn his family of what is happening, but suddenly blacked out with the last memory being a dark figure suddenly appearing right in front of him.

When he awoke in a dark alley with a minor wound on his head and realized immediately that the city was burning. Yet he still ran deeper into the city to warn his family. Once he got there all he saw was their corpses being burned. Then he just ran as fast as he could out of the city with burning rubble falling around the streets. When he got out he first was looking for any survivors in the forest and lake surrounding the city. Only corpses were found. He then ran into a village nearby Stratholme and took refuge there.

The Search for YaronEdit

After heading into the village, Yimlan realized that his brother was not in Stratholme and was somewhere in Lordaeron training to become a paladin of the Knights of the Silver Hand. He then asked if anyone knew of where Yaron's location was, but most of the citizens there had told him to check in Stratholme as that is where their closest base was located, but Yimlan told the local villagers of what happened. They either panicked or mocked him. After the local guards ordered him to leave, he took only whatever he had with him and searched all of Lordaeron for his brother. Unfortunately, soon after all of Lordaeron was taken over by the Scourge.

Yimlan eventually decided to give up the search and to head towards Southshore, as that was one of the few towns left that was not taken over by the plague. He took a room at the inn and slept very uneasy and upset that night believing there is no hope for finding is brother. When he woke up, he noticed a journal under the bed he was sleeping in and read a few pages. Instantly he realized it was his brother's journal and went to ask everyone in town for is whereabouts. A local blacksmith told him of where he went and recommended to bring some armor and weapons with him since the last thing he heard Yaron speak of his destination was the newly rebuilt Stormwind City.

The Long TravelEdit

Yimlan was just about to leave as soon as he heard Stormwind, but the blacksmith suggested to take some armor and weaponry sine the journey will be very long and dangerous. Yimlan purchased some heavy armor and a sword and shield before venturing onward. He also got a horse to ride on since it will be a long way. While he was traveling to Stormwind, he met a dwarf by the name of Petran. The dwarf saved Yimlan from a group of Syndicate. So Yimlan agreed to repay the dwarf any way he can. Petran was just going back to Ironforge from a diplomatic mission so he asked Yimlan if he could protect him from anyone who might try to assassinate him. Eventually, they made it to Ironforge and Yimlan stayed the night there. The next day Yimlan went off to continue his journey to Stormwind. Before he left Petran decided to join him on his journey there. They traveled through the cold mountains of Dun Morogh, passed through the burning passages of the Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes, went beyond the cliffs of Redridge Mountains, and finally went by Elwynn Forest into Stormwind.

Once they both made it to Stormwind they looked all over the city and asked the local guards about Yaron. No one heard of such a person arriving at Stormwind. So they both went Varian Wrynn, the King of Stormwind for any clues on where his brother could be. He told them of a mysterious person arriving to Stormwind just a day ago and warning him of the Plague that spread across the Northern Kingdoms. Afterward, they departed without telling him of where he was to go. So without a word, Yimlan departed from Stormwind and went across all of Azeroth to search for his brother. Petran joined him and together they ventured more than almost any other person has gone before.

While they were in Desolace, the two of them were following traces of possible scourge activity when Petran noticed a shadowy figure following them. After a long battle, the shadowy figure turned out to be a High Elf by the name of, Cervilia. Cervilia was a protector of the land and thought that Yimlan and Petran were members of the Burning Blade Clan. After more talking she told them of another traveler that looked similar to Yimlan who went south to Feralas. Quickly, Yimlan and Petran departed from Cervilia and headed to the ancient land. In Feralas they were captured by ogres and forced to play in gladiator fights in Dire Maul. For nearly a month they were forced to play gladiator fights until they were freed and made their escape by Cervilia, who had kept an eye out for them after they departed from each other. After she rescued them she decided to help them on their venture to find Yimlan's lost brother. They continued to travel to almost another year, meeting new people and finding new equipment. Finally...it happened.

The Final DaysEdit

While Yimlan, Petran, and Cervilia were exploring in the destroyed lands of the Western Plaguelands, the three came across a horde of undead zombies who ambushed them. The three fought valiantly and won the battle ,but Cervilia was infected by the plague. Even though she knew she was going to turn into one of them, she kept quiet and didn't talk about her infected wound. The next day the three saw Naxxramas, an evil place where Kel'thuzad commands the undead of the plaguelands floating above their heads. Then soon another horde of undead attacked the three. Again they won the battle ,but Cervilia's wound got worse and she began to hear The Lich King whisper to her. After a week of traversing in the decrepit lands, the three were yet again attacked by undead, but this time Cervilia finally gave in and became one of them. She charged at Petran and gravely wounded him. Yimlan then stabbed his sword through her head and she fell to the ground. Then he beheaded her and severed her arms and legs.

Once the fight was over, Yimlan gave up on his expedition and went to help Petran get to the closest town with a priest in it. The two of them headed south to the Alterac mountains, but before they could make it a shadowy figure wearing a cloak, which made his face hard to see, approached them. The figure walked slowly towards Yimlan and told him of how long he waited to see another of his family. He then realizes it was his brother Yaron whom he has been searching for over a year. Suddenly Yaron took his cloak off and showed to the two of them that he was in fact a Death Knight. Yimlan was in complete shock and stood there as Yaron was about to kill him. Just then Petran took his axe and tried to fight off Yaron (despite his injuries) and ended up being immobilized and one of his eyes being cut out by Yaron. Yimlan tried to help Petran out, but his brother summoned an undead monstrosity in which he had to fight it.After destroying the beast he rushed towards Yaron and began to fight one of the only family he has left. After a few minutes of fighting Yaron suddenly began to feel a strong pain in his head and ran off. After all of this disaster, Yimlan carried Petran all the way to Southshore and Petran was cured. Soon after, he told Petran to leave and go off and live his own life. Petran departed from Yimlan and they have not heard from each other since.

The End of the BeginningEdit

Soon after his depart from Petran, Yimlan went to Stormwind and lived daily as a Blacksmith. He learned how to create weapons and armor and made his living like this for over nine months. Afterwhich, an old man (by the looks of it a mage) came into Yimlan's shop and asked to repair his dagger. The two had a little conversation which ended up into a life telling story. Soon Yimlan realized this old man was actually his grandfather, Yimonalin, who has been traveling across Azeroth for nearly half a century. During one of his travels, Yimonalin met a women whom he fell in love with, but suddenly left her since he did not want to spend the rest of his days caring for a child. So Yimlan explained that the entire family has been killed and the tale of Yaron. Yimonalin, feeling great pity decided to give Yimlan an incredible set of armor and weapons. Then Yimonalin offered Yimlan a life of exploring and adventure. Yimlan with nothing else to live for so he decided to go, and they had gone venturing for over a year.

Yimlan's Current ActivityEdit

Yimlan is now currently in Northrend fighting in the armies of the Alliance against the Scourge. With the help of the Argent Crusade and the Knights of the Ebon Blade, he seeks to find a way to help bring an end to the Lich King and save his brother. Currently he is accompanied by his companions and is making a mark in the forces of the Scourge. Hopefully, the day will come when Yimlan can rescue his brother from the grasp of the Lich King and finally have his long journey come to an end.

FriendsEdit

Yimlan has made a number of friends who came and went.

• One important friend was Hunterstar, a Night elf who saved his life during the Battle at the Dark Portal. When a Fel Reaver joined the fight Yimlan charged at it full speed. He believed that his sword was definitely enough to rip this contraption apart. He clearly underestimated it. With one swipe it knocked him across the battlefield; shattering his sword in the process. Afterwhich, Yimlan was on the ground trying to crawl away from the beast since his legs broke on impact. Strangely it seemed no one to notice what was happening to Yimlan since nothing was stopping the Fel Reaver from coming towards him. Until, an arrow shot at the mechanical monster's head. Yimlan's vision was getting hazy and barely saw what was happening. The next thing he knew he was being healed by a Night Elf, hunter by the looks of it. "Did you destroy it?" said the battled and bruised warrior. "Yes, it was simple" replied the hunter. "Thanks for the help." Yimlan said afterwards. The two have become friends eversince.
