Mainpage ad Edit
Hi Fandyllic! I'm Mark, from Wikia's Community Development Team (former Content Production Team). As you probably know, Wikia has been running a swag giveaway for almost a week now, and so far we only got 20 comments.
We think the main reason behind this is that we aren't advertising it properly. Joe is designing a spotlight for the giveway right now, but we'd also like to advertise it on the main page using an image.
Naturally we won't add any ads without your permission - so what do you think? We'd love it if you'd allow us to put the image on the mainpage till the 24th, when the giveaway is over. Bureaucrat barEdit
Hi Fandyllic. Greetings from a fellow bureaucrat on the Fallout wiki. I've just been promoted to one and now I noticed you have a bureaucrat bar on your userpage. I still have an admin bar and I'd like that swap it with a bureaucrat one. Can you tell me how to change it? Jspoelstra
- It has to be done with java-script or something of that nature. When you 1st load the page it just shows "Administrator" and then a few seconds later shows 3 tags "Bureacrat" "Administrator" and "Crazy Person".
- "Crazy Person" definitely is not a normal, Wikia, admin tag, not to mention my tags say "Admin" not "Administrator" on the wiki I am an admin.

Width of the wiki pages Edit
Why is the width of this wiki wider than most other wikis, because it doesn't really work well on a lower resolution and/or normal monitor? Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 20:06, March 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Lower resolution is not a "normal" monitor (what do you consider "normal" and how can you show that it is normal?). This wiki is wider because it often has table content that won't fit in the standard narrower Wikia-wiki, non-sidebar, content width. Also, Wikia chose to force a fixed width on wikis, so it couldn't be adjusted dynamically. Lastly, it's because unlike most Wikia wikis, WoWWiki makes Wikia alot of money AND has a significant competitor, Wowpedia. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 14 Mar 2012 12:20 PM Pacific

- Saying "old-style square monitor" doesn't tell me anything. What pixel width and height? What diagonal dimension? Most modern browsers have a zoom out feature, maybe that will help you. Wikia and WoWWiki can't standardize everything for old technology. Also, I would never optimize for a netbook screen.

- What purpose could it have had that wasn't block worthy? Also, the image wasn't of a person (or a creature or zone or anything remotely related to Blizzard Entertainment or Warcraft), which just shows that you are defending someone for something you don't even know about. Ask Zmario what it was.

Mists stuff Edit
Ok, thank you for clarifying that, I was unsure which one to use because at this point these items are all canon as far as the Beta goes, so I don't want to go around claiming articles are Mists of Pandaria, because this could change in a heartbeat.
And no, I am not in Beta, however it would be a major help for this Wiki if more members had access. I feel kind of wrong for just taking Wowhead information and transferring it here, but as far as I can tell, Raylan13 is the only member who has access to the beta. There may be others, perhaps, that have been included into the beta, that have not added their name to the list. I probably will not be recieving an invite, as they already have their hands filled with the Annual Pass members getting their "guarenteed" beta access, I'm suprised people who opt-in even get a spot! - If stuff appears in the Beta it is Mists of Pandaria stuff until they change it. It's pretty clear that the icons are not finalized for many things, but I don't expect tons of stuff to change in the Beta to release. If it changes, we'll just tag it {{Removedfrombeta}}.

As Latvian WoWWiki is unused I would want to create new, but I can not change the main page and add the new wiki, it's URL is lvwow.wikia.com. Could you do that? - I am currently admin and creator of lvwow.wikia.com so I don't need to adopt it. It's currently in stage of creation, though it has more information than lv.wow.wikia.com. Greetings! You put a welcome message on my Talk page after I made an edit on the Archaeology rewards page (thank you).
Now I noticed that your welcome notice says "Thanks for your edit to the "Explorers' League" page". Now that's confusing, I didn't go anywhere near that page! So at first it looked to me like this was just a manual error.
But look -- 2,5 years ago, I did in fact make an edit on the Explorers' League page. I didn't even remember I had made an edit on this wiki before.
I know, it's just a detail, but perhaps the first edit within the past 30 days should be selected or something, for that welcome message :) just in case someone like me passes by again.

Hey, can you try and verify for me who the real scepter holder is for Thunderlord US? Some say Turbonator (hunter) some say Nferno (priest). I can find no evidence to support either. Issue with a user Edit

If we notice an issue with a user and their uploads, how do we go about the process of reporting them? I'm not seeing buttons or links on the pages linking to their profile, nor am I seeing a method of contacting you that wouldn't be highly public and thus delicious flamebait for the trolls.
