Medivh

Hi Karissian.

Please consider the infos given by the I-tag:

  • The guild name is the player's guild when he acquired his item
  • Player are listed in chronological order (first to loot, first in the list)

Have a nice day

IconSmall Hamuul Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 20:56, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi A'noob
First, sorry to have change the order and thanks for the correction and the explanation.
Second, could it be possible to make such a thing with titles because I was the third to be loremaster on Medivh and I'm a one of few to have more than 25 titles ?
Third, concerning the black Qiraji mount, I've called yesterday a good friend of mine, former member of <One Shot>, who was there at the opening and he said to me that Reez's mount was retired because of the MJs' intervention after the crash. I contacted the supervisor of MJs and he confirmed the fact that only Soph, who were the first to ring, had the mount. Reez was allowed with the mount (bug) but it was retired after the MJ Shaunazzar explained to him why he couldn't keep it. But the both have the Scarab Lord title.
Friendly,
K.
No prob, we both know that Medivh's AQ story is still full of mysteries :)
As for the titles owner, I've given up the idea, too much people (except for the Scarab Lords and First Kills)
IconSmall Hamuul Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 15:40, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
The both has the title. Reez doesn't play anymore and Soph migrated after all this story. Wisp me IG if you want talk about it.
See ya big Tauren.
Special Papi K.
I've just talk with Reez about the story. He said to me that he's the only to have the mount.
Special Papi K.
Hi everyone, Reez speaking. To make things clear: I got title and mount without GM intervention (there's even the 10 hours window after first gong for others to complete the quest !). I shot, hmm rang, first :)
As far as I know, I don't think Soph needed a GM intervention either, to get the title and mount. I only petitionned a GM to know how to get the epic weapon [Runesword of the Red] (one of 4 weapons offered at the end of the scepter quest chain), and it's just that the quest was finishable only after the 10 hours window, so no big deal, altough I worried a bit at first :) I was never contacted by a GM to take my mount back.
I never stopped playing, just rerolled outside of guild some time after BC. Reez is currently in Two Shot, and my main Zensu is in One Shot. You can contact any of them ingame for fact checking (look for Zensu usually on Sunday/Monday/Wednesday/Thursday evenings) or contact Reez on the OS forums at http://oneshot.guildjdr.com/
Apparently, Karissian and Special Papi K. wrote many fallacies above ;) Just don't know why ... (that friend in OS: who ? supervisor of mj: seriously ?) I never told anyone that I was the only one with the mount ... Fun fact: some people don't believe me when they ask me from which server I'm coming and I tell them I opened the gates on this server, because they have a friend who has a friend who told them it was Soph ;)
PetitScarabee (talk) 12:47, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
Hi, it's Reez. I'm astonished by the fallacies here. Please see my explanations on User talk:Karrissian.
PetitScarabee (talk) 12:55, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
It's funny to see how the wind can turn sometime. : )
Also, it's funny to hear differents sounds from Soph, the mjs, your former guildmate or you.
In fact, it's just so funny... Maybe next week... another story with Arthas ringing the gong. : )
K.
"Never ascribe to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." Or jealousy and ignorance maybe? Still wondering why all the fuss, from you and others ... Maybe your friend was ignorant or lying (mythomaniac ?). Or *you* are lying. Or trolling ? Thoses quotes about "MJ Shaunazzar" and "supervisor of MJs" ... Sounds like bullshit to me, sorry. Anyone can claim anything as long as they don't provide evidences. Ah, joys of Internet..
PetitScarabee (talk) 14:29, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
Even after 4 years, AQ is still a wonderfull thread!
I believe the words of the Scarab Lords can be trusted since they actually lived it and are propably (by now) the only ones who did not learned the story by "a friend of mine".

Could I ... please ... arrange the stuff on your user page? You can tweak it after I change it if you don't like it. But it would look so much nicer with a few divs and floats... Smiley /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 12:26 AM, 15 Aug 2009 (EDT)

It just seems like a mess. I can't tell what's speculation and what's official "canon." It would be nice if that was organized into two areas, or quaranteened, or just delete the speculation, or whatever. I figured you're the kind of person who might be resourceful enough to tell one from the other. I as a lore newb am just confused by articles in this state. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 3:44 AM, 17 Aug 2009 (EDT)

My Edits

Are you changing my edits? The thing about Inv misc food 08 [Dusky Crab Cakes] belongs and my references to the Darkspear tribe are correct. What are you doing? BobNamataki (talk)

For the Goey Spider Legs, yes, but for the trolls no.
You've written: "These Trolls are described as cunning and small while in mythology, Trolls are big and stupid." How can you considers beings tall from 180 to 215 cm "small"?
Think about the formulation of your edits please, many like Elder Atkanok, Stormwind City, Deadmines or Captain Ellis are redundant or sourceless (and some are (imo) useless).
IconSmall Hamuul Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 12:15, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
On my other edits, I do not consider them small, they are described as the smallest Troll tribe. Research then talk. Someone has been undoing my Chef Grual related edits. I don't know how to source. On my Stormwind edits, you can't source those. Have you seen Stormwind? It is full of players all the time.
BobNamataki (talk)
To source something, add a link to your informations or a the name of a book, anything that can justify what you write.
And you too should "Research then" edit. (Elder Atkanok --> Tuskarr: Inspiration)
IconSmall Hamuul Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 12:28, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
I do not consider my Stormwind edits to need a source. "Stormwind Trade District is the busiest." How can you source that. What do I say? Source: My Computer Screen?
User:BobNamataki
You are undoing my edits! Kobolds speak low common and I know this. "Me Run!" is low common. BobNamataki (talk) 16:36, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
You are adding redundant informations, already contained in the Kobold article.

Obviously you're already aware A'noob, but BobNamataki seems pretty upset. You might want to reread WW:BITE, WoWWiki:Text removal guidelines, and WW:PQ for suggestions about how to be clear in your intentions. That's not meant to be taken personally, just a friendly suggestion to avoid confusion in the future. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 11:22 PM, 6 Oct 2009 (EDT)

This is probably redundant but...

Don't forget WW:3RR. If Darkelement adds it again, ping someone else to do the revert. I left him a message on his talk page, so hopefully he'll get the idea. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 4:51 PM, 2 Oct 2009 (EDT)

IconSmall Hamuul Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 16:55, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
I don't think there's that much of a difference between WW:DNP and WW:3RR. I'm pretty sure you could get a ban (or at least a suspect listing) for either. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 5:33 PM, 2 Oct 2009 (EDT)

Issue

I understand you consider yourself some sort of heavy-weight around here and enjoy deleting people's contributions. Good for you, but if those contributions are relevant to the subject matter, enjoyed by a huge group of people, and will continue to be enjoyed by a lot more if they were just aware of it, then it would probably do you good to have the courtesy to open a discussion with fellow site users before you walk in and arbitrarily destroy people's good-faith contributions. Feedback Appreciated

When you get a chance, A'noob, check out my talkpage and review the Shadowmourne revision you deleted in full. I'd like to alter it so that it meets your standards and repost it to the page.

I've reviewed the DNP guidelines. Unanswered questions are fairly common in the Wiki, especially where PTR content is concerned, because nothing is finalized.

I chose to take the approach of posting content that we know to exist so far, and recognizing the fact that there were unanswered questions, rather than senselessly speculate/assume how the sound files will be used.

To that end, I introduced a little bit of history — precedent if you will — and maybe it was irrelevant by your standards, but I felt it might shed some light on the current content, or at least make for a good read, considering the parallel nature of the content.

Bottom line: tell me where I need to revise my work, and I'm more than happy to.

—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Melizande (talk · contr).

If you took those quotes on MMO-Champion or World of Raid, this video is obtained by datamining game content (Shadowmourne is not obtainable on the PTR (as far as I know))
If Shadowmourne becomes obtainable to players on the PTR, then you can post the quotes and your link to the Ashbringer.

I'm hoping that, as I write this, the Tier 9 page is a work in progress on your part. You've trimmed parts that I consider essential: the intro ("is associated with..."), how it is acquired, the whole thing with the marks, etc, etc. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:21, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

ICC Sound Files

"and only sound file, to hear it juste use it ingame" may you explain what you meant? As I have already stated in the change summary of the sounds "Edited with text that he speaks. When you're not native english you sometimes don't understand what he says" so there is no reason to undo my change. (A-Z sort is ok). Thanks Dschiggs (talk) 21:23, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

I think at first, that would make very big articles (this kind of article is big in general), but that's could be a good idea, even thought, the name of the file clearly indicates what it is. Nevermind, change it back and consider going on Ulduar, Karazhan and all the files we have here.

Is there something like a swaptext; so when you click on the /script part the text will pop up; You know what I mean? Btw, sry for adding this comment in front of your page. greetings Dschiggs (talk) 22:55, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not really comfortable with (eg) Season 1 being moved to Season 1 Arena rewards despite (eg) Season 4 having apparently started that way.

Then again, there's lots of arena rewards pages whose data is so very out of date it just isn't amusing, either. Been snooping around, trying to verify all the various "get this from here" stuff. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:56, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

Really, space between the bottom template and the first category line is okay. Not a "go back and change it" thing, but still a "don't need to remove it". If you are quoting something exactly, but the original source spells something wrong or make some other kind of error, adding [sic] after the incorrect part of the quote says it is supposed to be wrong, and dissuades people from correcting it.--SWM2448 16:53, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Anasterian Warmage removal

I removed warmage from his class because in the warmage page that armor interferes with their spell casting, which is why they wear light armor if any. "Gourra - But if we're going to be "grammar nazis", then sure, it can stay. But I think it looks out of place." A quick aside, do you happen to have an alt at the appropriate level to double check it..? I personally am a 'one main' kinda guy, and you can only have that conversation once. I did it a LONG time ago (at least just before BC), so it very well indeed may be out of date. I may ask on Thott and Wowhead, but if we can check it "in-house" as it were, that'd be cool. Please let me know! :D --Mondoblasto (talk) 09:23, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
"Nope, no more alt to try it," Really? Dammit. "But creating a DK should allow you to check it fast." Ooo, that's an idea, I hadn't considered that. Only thing is: creation, starting at 55, leveling past 70 for soloing, getting past Scholo's locked door... T_T "Some might not know what it means." I hadn't gotten a chance to turn it into a link, but I did figure out how to do it very recently. I should have done it quite a while back, so it's really on me for causing the confusion. I may figure out.... something, but for now I'm gonna put my new linked note on the page.--Mondoblasto (talk) 09:49, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Template:Fariel Starsong wares

I put it in the Template namespace according to general hand-waving directives/preferences of (I think) Sky2042 from some time ago. The thought is, if it's being included elsewhere, it should really be labeled a template, even if it has no other. I agree that it will only be used in a few places, but I don't see that as necessarily being a prohibition against making it a template. See, for instance, {{Love_is_in_the_Air_items}}. I expect that at some time, we may replace a bit of the Lunar Festival text with vendor lists. Thus the reason for breaking them out in the first place. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:05, March 3, 2010 (UTC)

And while you are at it... I noted that the videos with in-video text did not display that text when viewed on the wowwiki page, but did on the youtube page. Do you experience this too? (Lost Society is a good example.) If this is a general thing, we should post warnings about it. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:48, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you!

I'm new to Wiki's and I was wondering how to do that side bar thing on my Guild page. Thank you!
