User Talk Pages
Edit
Please do not leave messages on user talk pages pertaining to wowpedia. Before my time here there was a policy passed down that those types of messages were not allowed. Raylan13 (talk) 00:28, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm going to bring that up on the forums... Since Wowpedia folks are the only ones around, they should be able to make a new policy. Astranath (talk) 00:30, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I have apparently already brought the policy to your attention about editing users' talk pages. Raylan13

- You have informed me of the policy, and I am abiding by it. I'm no longer "spamming" links to Wowpedia or even mentioning the name Wowpedia, but rather inviting them to weigh in on the WoWWiki forums. Can you point to a WoWWiki policy that prohibits soliciting input on the forums? Forum:WoWWiki's death blow? Blizzard tacitly endorses Wowpedia#What can Wikia do to revive WoWWiki? is about improving WoWWiki, not asking people to leave to Wowpedia. This kind of behavior is what has caused the mass exodus to Wowpedia. Deadlykris or Fandyllic, please explain this very basic concept to the paid contractor attempting to suppress discussion of the matter. Astranath (talk) 20:56, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what policy Raylan13 is talking about. All I could find is WoWWiki:Talk page guidelines and those are guidelines not policy. Raylan13, could you link to the policy you think is being violated?
- Astranath, what you are doing, while not strictly violating policy could be seen as spam, regardless of the links in the content.
- I just realized I'm still a bureaucrat here (which shocked me, actually), so I have to think about my next steps. Stay tuned. --

- I've put a sticky up in the forums about Policy, Fandyllic, which should explain things a bit. None of it is new; the only thing that's been altered is the incurred penalties. This sticky was put together after having a conversation with the powers that be. That being said, Astranath's blocking may have been premature on my part, seeing as how I hadn't posted the policies in the forums yet. I'll go ahead and lift that, but please read the 'Regarding Policy' sticky in the general forums, Astranath. Raylan13
