Attribution Edit

Please go back through and tag everything you uploaded today with the versions of the template Template:Wowpedia_credit that are most appropriate for the articles and images that you copied. If proper attribution isn't given by the end of the week, those articles and images will be deleted, rather than us taking who knows how long to compare pages.

In the future it is strongly preferred that as little information be copied verbatim from sources as possible. Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 01:40, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

But it is okay to copy stuff from Wowpedia as long as you use {{Wowpedia credit}} correctly. -- Gengar orange 22x22 Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 28 Sep 2011 8:31 PM Pacific
Not to sound like an asshole or anything (have no problem adding credit where it's due; I just didn't know we had to do that when doing so), but if we kept this site up to date once in a while, we wouldn't have to do this credit thing because someone would actually be doing this on their own. Seriously, NO info that 4.3 was even announced? No info on ToT bosses? No info on major lore characters? Someone's slacking big time, and since this site is the one that is usually on top of the WoW related Google searches, someone has to make sure this info is up to date. This can't continue to be happening. Darkpowrjd (talk) 06:56, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, but I wrote many of the stuff at wowpedia you copied and I think it is not fair that our work is taken without even getting any credit of it. --LemonBaby (talk) 07:01, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't say that I wouldn't. Perhaps I should've said that I didn't know there was a way to give credit instead of saying that I didn't know we had to. For that, I apologize. My problem is, though, that WoWWiki hasn't been kept up to date for a long time, and if it was kept up to date, then we wouldn't have to copy things from WoW-P in the first damn place. Sorry to be so blunt, but when you have an article about Deathwing on WoWWiki that seems as though it hasn't been updated since patch 4.0.1, there's a problem there! Wowwiki will most likely never be up to date again because of the lack of authors here. And stealing from other sites can't be the solution of that problem. At least not from a moral standpoint.--LemonBaby (talk) 07:23, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't intend to steal anything from any site. Please, let's not have this be a battle of if I intended to do anything immoral or criminal by doing that. I said I would give credit, I said I always intended TO give credit, and indeed, that's what I'm doing (and I hope I'm using the right templates and I don't miss anything in this process). Please don't give me the wrong impressions of Wowpedia authors by continuing to insist that I did that ready, willing, and able to plagiarize anyone in any sort of way. Hopefully the author drought on this site will be resolved soon since both sites are good and deserve to thrive despites WoWWiki being badly out of date, but if we can stop assuming that my actions were done with devious intentions, that would help both of us out immensely. Images Edit

Thanks for adding the image for the Money achievement  Stood in the Fire achievement. Nice shot! The only thing I would suggest is to take a look at the image naming policy and resolution guidelines. Thanks again! Raylan13@Wikia (talk) 01:18, November 22, 2011 (UTC)
