Realms.gif  Ghostlands EU (PvE)

Contents

Ghostlands EU is one of the new servers unleashed with the release of the first World of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade. It first become available to the public at January 15th 2007 at 23:00 GM, one hour before the opening of the dark portal (signalling the start of the burning crusade expansion) At it's initial release the server enjoyed a high population increase from both new and old players hoping for a fresh start. Ghostlands to date has not received any serious problems or complaints in terms of performance or population.

The general social atmosphere is fairly pleasant and relaxed with the forums being a safe and secure environment to discuss, however flame wars have occurred in the past.

The general population of Ghostlands EU is PvE focused, with a very small selection of pure PvP guilds. There are guilds progressing in all Tiers with multiple guilds on each side aiming for high-end progression.

Server status page [2] Ghostlands is a fairly stable server rarly suffering from lag spikes, crashing or restarts. They do occasionally happen, but nothing people seriously complain about.

Dead scar in Ghostlands!

The server is named after the Ghostlands area in the north of Eastern Kingdoms, home of Zul'aman and just south of the Blood Elf city.

The AQ gates officially opened on August the 17th 2007, at 7pm (GMT +1:00) By an alliance member called Prinsen. Some controversy surronded this since the player had transfered only to open the gates and claim the title and reward. However, at the time there was no serious effort by any guilds to obtain the quest item in order to open the AQ gates (this was during BC, so players were focused on T5 attunment and gearing.)

Ghostlands EU is famous for the thread created on the offical forums [3]. The topic gained a reputation due to Aeus' apparent mix-up of Darkshore and Darkshire. The topic gained a further reputation in the Flaming Ruby comic strip [4].
