Guides
Gil, I'd recommend developing the existing page at Guides rather than making a new page. I'd wrap it in to the existing one myself, but you had a lot of red links and we really don't encourage name-branding on strategy guides except as external links. --Pcj (T•C) 20:43, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, a list of guides would be good. Remember that we do want to strive for a neutral point of view. --Pcj (T•C) 21:03, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not sure Wow game guides is the best name for the article, since it doesn't follow our naming policy. And needs probably more content than just a list per external links policy. When you suggested it, I was thinking of more informational stuff about the site and what was being offered a la Patch mirrors. --Pcj (T•C) 21:54, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Sponsor sections
Just noticed these. Don't you have some lackey to put these in for you? ;-) Anyway, you might want to make the sponsor a subpage and transclude it. This way it makes it a little harder for vandals to get at it and you can easily change/edit it without having to mess with the page it is on.
I'll start making sponsor sections into transcludes, if you don't mind. --

- Dude - I am the lackey :-) If you can transclude that would be great - then I will do it on the rest of the pages. I'm doing it myself to be hyper-sensitive to any potential pushback. Otherwise people getting upset are filtered through others and don't get to you and I fast enough... so I'm willing to do the work to make sure we're collectively doing this right Gil (talk)

- LOL, okay. Thanks for the extra sensitivity. You can see what I did on the Druid builds page (transcludes Druid builds/sponsor) as an example. --

User:Greco02
Hey, if you are using User:Greco02 for your work, you should put something on the user page clarifying. --

sponsor templates
Please categorize them into Category:Sponsor templates if you plan on adding anymore, so we can keep track of them if/when this fails or is no longer needed. Thanks. --Sky (t · c · w) 02:21, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Sky - I think I'm done, but I hear you. I was trying to avoid mucking up the page more than I had to :-) Gil (talk)

Wikia feedback on the ad stuff
Now, I know there's the "omg I hate ads" people (I am one of them) that are spouting bitchy rants, and those ones you can totally ignore... but, could you please give us some feedback on WoWWiki talk:Working with Wikia for those that present reasonable, well thought out arguments on this whole ad situation? We do understand that ads are needed to keep the site afloat, but as it stands things feel less like "working with wikia" and more like "taking what wikia forces on us". Changing this from a one sided rant-fest into a real two-way discussion with the community about the current and future ads would be a very good thing. TeжubԎ Ҩ Ѡ 05:09, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Removed Ads from Warlock builds
I was going to come by and say "Hey, don't you know that the ads should be there, whether you like 'em or not!", but I did a little bit of checking. Turns out if anyone is OK to remove the sponsor blocks, it's you. Onorvele (talk) 21:03, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
