Mug'thol

Cool, thanks for the clarification. Typically in when you see names with an apostrophe, you get a double capitalization. (Like O'Reilly etc). I wasn't sure what the Blizzard standard was, but the redirects should help confusion for people like me who weren't aware of it. ;) Unaz 18:21, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Also, random other names use it (Aman'Thul, Eldre'Thalas, Jubei'Thos, and more) yay for consistancy! Unaz 18:23, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Island Troll Vote

How come you got rid of you're vote on Talk:Island troll? Saimdusan 06:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

It's been redirected to Darkspear. Less hassle than a delete, and all the information that was on there is on Darkspear anyways. Pzychotix 06:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
I was only properly fixing your vote, you didn't include the talk page template. I don't have an opinion on the matter. --GRYPHONtc 13:57, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

FLT

The TLF (or FLT) is not a guild. This abusive name was put out of my will. It's an organization, made of dozens of guilds & unguilded persons. We are not affiliated to one guild nor one server. I'd like to discuss how we could change back this to a more accurate status.--K ) (talk) 23:53, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, it was marked with {{Stub/Guild}} and was linked to from Server:Ysondre Europe, it certainly looks like a guild article. It doesn't appear to belong in the main namespace however I am unsure of a resolution, but appropriate categories should be specified as well as a proper intro or other text explaining what type of article it is. --GRYPHONtc 00:00, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Realm Template

Hey, i saw your Server:Mal'Ganis US realm template and loved it. I thought id spruce up my own realms template. Hope you dont mind: Server:Grim Batol Europe

Seraph 16:45, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't mind at all, looks great Smiley --GRYPHONtc 16:46, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Noted revert on Inv misc spyglass 02 [Khorium Scope]. Thanks --Eirik Ratcatcher 22:29, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Ya, an article had shown that it had not been created. Then I realized that the article link was spelled wrong, however I spelled it right when having the bot make the article overwriting the existing article. --GRYPHONtc 22:32, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Thoughts on the Mal'Ganis Nav Bar

First off, great work on the Mal'Ganis sever page. Looks great and is very functional. I just have one suggestion, PvP. I'm not a big PvPer myself, but I know alot on our server are all about it. I got the idea while looking at other server pages, mostly lists of Rank 14 players. I didn't want to jump in and much up the page myself as I don't have the design flair that you do, so I just made a mock up of the Nav bar with some idea changes here.

I'm thinking high ranking Arena teams on the arena pages, perhaps a list of those that got the top title and the armored nether drake. For the Rank 14 page, obviously a list, best as can be researched, of all those that got HWL/GM.

I'm more then happy to put in time adding data, but I'll leave any big changes/design layouts up to you. You did a great job on the Progression and Profession pages, that I'm sure you could use the same theme for PvP pages. I'll keep an eye on your talk page for a few days, or you can toss me a line on my talk page to get in touch if needs be. ZZqA 19:42, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. PvP section sounds good. Have some example's from some other server pages? I'm a very casual player so for high end raids, equipment, pvp I need a kick start on what the content looks like. --GRYPHONtc 19:51, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Object

Hey, if you have a minute can you check out School_of_Red_Snapper and tell me what you think? If you like the way it is set up, I will make my object boilerplate match that. Thanks again for the advice. --Jiyambi t || c 18:08, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

That looks good to me. --GRYPHONtc 18:18, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Okay I used it as the example for the Boilerplate:Object - it is now up and running, hope it is useful! --Jiyambi t || c 20:57, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Looks good Smiley --GRYPHONtc 20:58, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Jammno

Hey, can you stop giving in to the e-peen hungry realm forumers and accept the information posted about Barths celebrity? The other realm wiki's with celebrities have information on their pages, why not ours? --Mabaricko 10:49PM, 5 July 2007 (CMT)

The content is contested and violates DNP policies. --GRYPHONtc 03:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Is there anything you can do to stop the e-peen war? There's a HUGE rally in Ironforge right now with all the Jammno followers having a massive argument over this absurd wiki against the Jammno haters. Any ideas how the two groups can be happy? Also, if it violates DNP policies, why do the other realm forums have basically the same thing for their celebrities? --Mabaricko
The content is biased and contested, it does not follow WW:NPOV and is causing constant reverts. Not all server articles are monitored, however, they do fall subject to the same scrutiny when they become edit wars as well. --GRYPHONtc 03:59, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Also, this wiki (as do most other wikis) operate on basis of a consensus. At the moment, the consensus is to not have that content on that page. See [[Talk:Server:Barthilas US#Votes]] --Pcj (TC) 04:14, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll add my response, which is copy pasted from the talk page.

Googled his name in combination with warcraft, trading, and card. There were no links to a Blizzard sponsored website in any of the responses. However, his notability on ytmnd.com is asserted, and that should probably be left in with a npov, rather than his biased editing. I have removed his last edit for the time being. --User:Sky2042/Sig 07:05, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

I really think his name can be added. However, it needs to be npov, and it should only mention his post on the forums, and leave a link to the ytmnd. Nothing else. Assertions of such things as "world famous" are ridiculous; I had no idea he existed until I met the wiki some time ago, and even then, he doesn't stand out as anyone famous. If and when he gets his own card can that information be added; I highly doubt that the (new) way it was presented was true in any way shape or form.--User:Sky2042/Sig 04:49, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
PS: I think I would even accept a page such as Soj's, as another contributor suggested in the votes. You can add a copy of the post and circumstances of the post to that then. But the way it is trying to be done currently is silly. --User:Sky2042/Sig 04:57, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll volunteer to create a Jammno page, akin to Soj's page, if this is consistent with categorisation / naming conventions of the Wiki and if doing so removes the NPOV tag that we have on the Barthilas page. (Impian 07:19, 6 July 2007 (UTC))
Cheers Gryphon for helping the community come to a speedy resolution of this issue. The NPOV tag has come off the Barthilas page, and I think the current situation is a lot improved. --Impian 15:16, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Icecrown US Naming

What is needed to be fixed for Icecrown US‎, to abide by naming policies? User:Lenthegr8/Sig 03:53, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

All Guild articles should be linked per WW:GUILD naming polices. Example, Guild:Name (Icecrown US) --GRYPHONtc 03:55, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Updated them all (I think) =) User:Lenthegr8/Sig 08:27, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. --GRYPHONtc 16:18, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Battlegroup templates

You seem to be "the guy" for the {{Battlegroup}} templates, so I hope you don't mind my posting this here rather than on its talk page.

I noticed that the official battlegroup pages show icons for the battlegroups' namesake spells and thought it would be fun to have WoWWiki do the same. By putting the icons at e.g. {{Battlegroup EU Blackout/Icon}}, it would only require fairly minor modifications to the battlegroup template (my take on it can be found in my sandbox). If you think it's a good idea, I'd be happy to go through the US and EU icons myself (and at least make an attempt on the non-English ones). The template uses {{#ifexist:...}} to fall back to the current, icon-free appearance if the battlegroup's icon is missing.

User:DarkRyder/Sig 00:00, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Looks good to me, I would probably nuke the crossed weapon icons. Have at it. --GRYPHONtc 00:03, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Done and done. There only turned out to be only one icon I wasn't able to figure out -- that for DE Todbringer. I'll see what else I can do to unriddle it tomorrow. User:DarkRyder/Sig 01:09, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

You deleteing my category

I am sorry for my inappropriate comments on the IRC chat, various talk pages, and numerous edit summaries. I have it out of my system and realize that your removal of my work is only in the interest of bettering WoWWiki. My argument ends there. This will not turn into a war, and I will not be arguing for the remaking of the category. In a related note, I still feel the fan fiction and rumors category should stay, but will yield to whatever is in your best judgment. Really.--SWM2448 22:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Patch mirrors/Tabletop

Umm, is this a work in progress or what? User:Lessthan1337/Sig 04:59, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Umm, no it is in use. --GRYPHONtc 05:57, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Object Boilerplate

I'm not sure who to ask about this, but I know I talked to you about it in the past. The page Boilerplate:Object no longer exists, and I was wondering if you knew why. I thought it was on my watchlist but apparently it wasn't. I thought it was a useful page, anyways if you know what happened/why please let me know, or let me know who / where to go to find out. Thanks bunches. --Jiyambi t || c 02:23, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
