Pwniversity.ico Edit

If you want an icon for use with {{elink}} you need to upload it as a 22x22 PNG with a name like File:Icon-Pwniversity-22x22.png. Just uploading an .ico file won't do anything. --Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 7 Sep 2011 9:45 PM Pacific

Adding new sites to elinks templates Edit

I would create a post at Forum:WoWWiki policy asking for feedback about the idea of adding new links to the elinks templates. You should make arguments for why each site deserves to be added. Generally, the standards in the past have been things like the following: is the site up reliably? is its info up to date? does it offer some significant features or info that existing sites do not?

I will also take a look at these sites independently. The main reason we have MMO Champion's DB is for subzone id searching, but it really isn't that great a site. Wowhead is awesome and the defacto standard by which all other sites are judged. THottbot is now basically a clone of Wowhead, but could in theory be available when parts of Wowhead are down. We could potentially replace Thottbot with a new site since the only unique thing it offered was a different set of comments and now has very few distinguishing features. --Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 11 Oct 2011 1:23 PM Pacific

Thanks for the updates! Be sure when you add external links that you're being as specific as possible in them. For instance, when adding the link to the Level 19 rogue twinking guide, link directly to the list of level 19 guides on that site rather than the site's home page.
