Montag and Farenheit 451

I was wondering if your username had anything to do with the novel, Farenheit 451? Montag is the main character's name.

Yup. One of my favorite books. User:Montag/sig 12:16, 15 November 2006 (EST)

I'm actually writing a report on that book right now.

Hope you enjoy it, then. It's nice writing, and the coda's awesome. He completely rips into excuses people have for censorship and tears them up. User:Montag/sig 17:35, 15 November 2006 (EST)
Certainly one of my favorite books. Its exciting all the way through, and makes you think. Yes, the coda where he tears into the editors for trying to censor his book which a story about censorship, was awesome. BTW, I loved the injoke in starcraft, how they made Guy Montag a "hero" firebrat in the multiplayer compaign story.Baggins 13:42, 8 December 2006 (EST)
Yeah, very cool. With all their gaming, I like how Blizzard devs still have time to read occasionally. User:Montag/sig 15:58, 8 December 2006 (EST)

Lich

Actually Lich is a type of monster/creature, according to the lore, rather than a class. Granted I agree its not technically a formal race, since its a type of undead, from what ever race it originally was resurrected from.

Unlike other undead they have a unique "racial trait" going by the rpg terminology, that of its phylactery. Which holds its power, and ability to exist.Baggins 12:52, 8 December 2006 (EST)

You're right, that is more of a racial feature than simply a chosen profession. In the case of the article, you could probably some "Undead, Lich, formerly Human," because his Undead-ness is more important than his Lich-ness in the WC universe. User:Montag/sig 12:54, 8 December 2006 (EST)

""Undead, Lich, formerly Human"

Ya, that's the best way to put it.Baggins 12:55, 8 December 2006 (EST)

Welcome .... admin!

And finally, Montag! Admin number 34534 ;) Congrats and welcome to the gang. -- Kirkburn (talk) 18:36, 21 December 2006 (EST)

Oh, w00t. Thanks. I'll do my best. Edit: I guess I can use that cool signature now. =c) User:Montag/sig 01:42, 22 December 2006 (EST)

I Want To Help You

Hello, Montag. I am an admin on English Wikipedia, and I have been noticing the mass vandalism this wiki often experiences. As a veteran adminsitrator, I was hoping I could help you out. I often deal with blocking vandals and deleting vanmdalism on Wikipedia, and perhaps I could do the same here. Also, I could introduce a feature we have at Wikipedia, that you would certainly find useful. This feature prevents new users from creating usernames similar to an existing user (I see that many vandals here impersonate admins). I feel that if I was an admin on this wiki, I could help you out immensely. I'm online frequently, and would do my best to resolve all of your vandalism issues. In addition to Wikipedia, I am an admin or bureaucrat on five other wikis. I have tremendous experience in dealing with vandals. If I can help you out, let me know. Thanks, --Lucky 6.9 18:17, 22 December 2006 (EST)

I'll pass your name on to the bureaucrats. You can also post on Kirkburn's talk page -- he's one of the people who can talk to you about admin-ship. But help with vandals would definitely be appreciated. User:Montag/sig 13:48, 23 December 2006 (EST)
Nope, no adminship forthcoming from me. He was a vandal! \o/ -- Kirkburn (talk) 14:01, 23 December 2006 (EST)
Yeah, just noticed in the last couple minutes. Nice work using his own Template:Tlink template to ban him, though. ;-) User:Montag/sig 14:03, 23 December 2006 (EST)

O.O <-- our reaction to him :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 14:03, 23 December 2006 (EST)

Burning Crusade

Oh I already utilized the short Burning Crusade as a lore page, defining what the Burning Crusade is according to the Shadow's and Light Sourcebook. I recommend your page idea if its allowed should go to The Burning Crusade.Baggins 03:58, 28 December 2006 (EST)

Which idea is that? If you're referring to User:Montag/World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and User:Montag/World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (shorter), those were written as replacements for the rather messy older version of The Burning Crusade. Edit: The shorter version was adopted.User:Montag/sig 10:50, 28 December 2006 (EST)
Nevermind, I see what you did. Cool. =c) User:Montag/sig 12:36, 28 December 2006 (EST)

Nice Page

My my my, what a sexalacious looking user page you have... =) --Hobinheim (talk · contr) 15:41, 4 January 2007 (EST)

User:Montag/HobBox ftw. ;-) User:Montag/sig 12:01, 5 January 2007 (EST)
Heh, that's funny. I originally... "borrowed" the idea from Gryph. --Hobinheim (talk · contr) 16:04, 6 January 2007 (EST)

Help pages

You've obviously noticed by now :P I'm basically getting rid of the 'less useful' help articles and linking straight to the proper metawiki pages. I think it's best that only the really important 'copied' (and untouched) pages stay on here. -- User:Kirkburn/Sig 16:59, 7 January 2007 (EST)

Looks fine to me. Are you planning on styling a TOC for the Help:Contents subpages? User:Montag/sig 17:02, 7 January 2007 (EST)
I hadn't thought about it, but it is needed, yeah. -- User:Kirkburn/Sig 17:14, 7 January 2007 (EST)

Why?

Why move the dreadsteed link I updated all the way to the bottom of the page? It was at it's located for ages, I only updated, not added. Don't like people using other guides I see...

--Akasha 19:53, 8 January 2007 (EST)

Odd. I thought I responded to this... Oh well. Here goes. ~
Generally, external guides and sources are placed at the bottom of the page, not in the intro. User:Montag/sig 20:08, 1 February 2007 (EST)

Thanks

Thank you for your note of support, especially in light of our past altercations.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 20:34, 10 January 2007 (EST)

Behind you all the way, man. User:Montag/sig 02:20, 11 January 2007 (EST)

Help Team

Saw your help team app and added you. Go crazy on the help pages!! Help:Contents/Complete_list was my little to do list if you are interested before I go bored! - Ralthor 00:09, 26 January 2007 (EST)

Awesome, thanks. I'll see what I can do, but I probably won't be too active with things until after I'm burned out on BC. ;-) User:Montag/sig 08:36, 26 January 2007 (EST)
