Neutral Point of View on WoWWiki

Hi. You've been causing some controvercy with some of your edits on the Blood Elf page of late, so I thought I should point out some of the finer points of editing here at WoWWiki.

We're trying to allow for a Neutral Point of View (policy) here, where we do not state opinions or even well-educated guesses as fact. In other words: speculation is welcome, as long as it is presented as such, and, of course, there being room for such speculation to begin with. Case in point: Blood Elf physical appearance, where you keep deleting speculation from other contributors.

As far as I'm aware, we cannot tell with 100% certainty what will happen come the expansion since there is no public statement from Blizzard on the matter. IF however you have facts to back it up, you're more than welcome to present them; definitely on Talk:Blood Elf, but perhaps also a pointer to the source in the page?

A few other relevant pointers on the matter:

Phew. Longish :-) But I'm done now. Having said that, everyone welcomes all of your additions to the wiki. It's just that deleting other people's content without saying why tends to be an .. umm.. touchy subject.

Vandalism

Considering the amount of other people's content you removed or rewrote, many of your changes to Blood Elf can be considered vandalism. You have been added to the vandals list, but I'm not going to ban you until you get a chance to give a defense for your changes or cite some sources. --Fandyllic 12:41 PM PDT 22 Jul 2006

Defence.. sorta

The changes were more along the lines of deleting stuff that hasn't been confirmed. Things like Blood Elf eyes due to fel energies has no evidence. Blizzard said that they renamed themselves blood elves but never said anything else changed. If Kael'thas is using the new model then I would expect them all to.

However... I won't change or delete things on the page anymore. -- Pigzig 23:58, 24 July 2006

Okay, I think I understand you. It isn't wrong to delete or change things, but you should explain why you did it somewhere (either Summary: when you save the change or in the discussion page). --Fandyllic 3:12 PM PDT 25 Jul 2006
You did. Again.--K ) (talk) 01:39, 20 November 2006 (EST)
