Titan Panel - Itemized Deductions (ReBorn) Edit
Hrm.... interesting. A request, since this was my code back in the day... Please rename it. I _dispise_ "reborn", "resurrected" and "continued" addons. The addon was never abandoned, it was ported to FuBar. You're more than welcome to my code, it's always been open, but ya mind renaming the addon and thereby claiming for yourself instead of just tagging "reborn" on it and making it appear like the old mod was abandoned.
Having been in the code, have you not noticed how much Titan's API (and general coding habits) blows? One word: TITAN_NIL /barf You should move over to Fubar.07:53, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
- While I do all the programming, TPID is still "officially" on BlueLeaf's maintenance, so that's him who should be told to change the name. On that note, I don't like all those "continued"'s either. And, considering that I pretty much rewrote almost all of code, it isn't even any kind of "continuation" at all anymore. Well, at least it have "Titan Panel" in it to distinguish from your FuBar addon. :)
- While TPID doesn't dip deep enough to find those Titan inefficiencies, I had a chance to look into Titan internals when I decided to optimize some of its UI resources management in long period when Titan had no updates, so, yes, it is pretty messy in here. However, even with all that mess inside it, that mainly contributes to PITA while maintaining/programming and doesn't actually waste too much resources, so I'm staying with it for aesthetic/plug-in availability reasons for now. --Rowaasr13 09:12, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
- Mind passing on the request for me? The person who picked up the Fubar port renamed his, and his was a major rewrite in the end as well. I do still have lofty intentions of rewriting ID without Fu or Titan, as I don't feel the ennd for an "always up" list, but as usual I just don't have to time to write all the mods I want to. Ugh... stupid time... stupid motivation. 09:21, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
