Welcome Edit

Welcome to WoWWiki!
As you already have, we hope you can continue to help the community and vice versa :-)
If you have any questions, someone will gladly answer them.
We just wanted to say welcome, and to encourage you to continue contributing!

Finding things to do Edit

The things to do category has them all!

Want to help more? Join a team! Edit

As a community it is easier to get large amounts of maintenance and community projects done in teams - we like to encourage each wiki-user (also known as WoWWikians) to join one or two. Check out Community teams for more info!

Want to participate? Vote! Edit

WoWWiki isn't an absolute democracy, but many decisions are voted on. Also, we encourage members to vote on site policies. See a list of votes in progress or a list of policy proposals.

Again, welcome!   --Mikk (T) 13:25, 16 October 2006 (EDT)

Belongs to... Edit

If this "something" belongs to you, please let me know.

Nothing here belongs to anyone unless it's under a "User:" page :o) Having said that, there's plenty of people that have opinions about stuff here -- not necessarily the same opionions though ;-)   --Mikk (T) 16:21, 16 October 2006 (EDT)

Actually, I wanted to ask about something along those lines. In my copy-editing spree of the API pages, I come across a lot which have some of sort credit to the documenter at the top.[1] Is it all right to mercilessly delete these? I've been doing just that, but I haven't found an exact WoWWiki policy that forbids it. Just curious.

Yes. It was a bad idea to begin with according to everyone that's spoken up about it -- wikis are about collaborative editing. Now, there's even a policy about personal articles that says that if you want to retain credit & control, the page has to live under "User:".   --Mikk (T) 17:07, 16 October 2006 (EDT)
