Plunda Klub APB table
I've finally tracked down why large character lists don't work, but I'm afraid the news isn't good. The problem appears to be MediaWiki's template engine. It simply isn't powerful enough to handle a large number of the complex templates used by APB in the same page. More than 20 rows slows things down a lot, more than 30 stops displaying correctly, and more than 50 or so causes the server to stop talking to APB, crashing it. Tuning the templates in an attempt to reduce their complexity met with only minor success (I increased the "kill limit" by only two rows). I've added code which limits the displayed list to 20. Unfortunately, including multiple tables in the same page, while it would get around APB's limit, is still unlikely to display correctly. Sorry. :-(

- would it not be possible to make it pull down it in parts? e.g., as i've used topics (in my case; classified by class) wouldn't it be possible that it pulls all sections as different configs, and thus saves them in /APB Table at different topics? that would make it pull the config from 9 different places, without me having to e.g. put in myself in 9 different places on the APB userlist (if i would do that to get all of them, i mean). possible, yes/no? - You could create nine different Config articles (/Rogue/APB Config, /Hunter/APB Config, etc.) and APB would create nine different tables, yes. But if you then included all nine tables into the same article, chances are good that WoWWiki will blow up trying to display it. User:DarkRyder/Sig 20:14, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
