Epic Analysis pagesEdit

Thank you for the help in getting the analysis pages updated with the new tool-tip and BC items. --Dracomage 09:38, 7 February 2007 (EST)

My pleasure :-) BTW: I added epic thrown weapons to the equipment analysis template and now I wonder if I should do the same with epic necklaces... -- Vysogota 14:28, 7 February 2007 (EST)

The item 'template' you're using Edit

It's slightly off. Move the {{BC}} template below the end of the item template, and move {{clrl}} above the picture. Also, don't forget {{elinks}} :). And I would suggest switching to the {{Loot}} template that Zeal set up, rather than the boilerplate.
Thanks for adding the items! :)--Sky 20:55, 7 February 2007 (EST)

T:Bc Edit

We are still discussing the need of this template on item pages, it is not necessary (yet) to add the template to existing pages and might turn out to have been pointless. Just ignore this part. --Adys 21:39, 14 February 2007 (EST)

And what about creating new pages? Should I still add this template every time I create a new item page? -- Vysogota 21:49, 14 February 2007 (EST)
Feel free to do as you want, it doesn't actually matter (I personally wouldn't add it, but some will disagree). But editing a page just to add it might be a timewaste. --Adys 21:54, 14 February 2007 (EST)
I rolled back your changes, we came to the conclusion we don't want items and NPCs categorized as Burning Crusade if they are obvious BC content (located in Outland or anything). If you've got any question or comment, feel free to join us on IRC. --Adys 19:50, 15 February 2007 (EST)
OK, as you wish. So the only items that need to be categorized as Burning Crusade are new TBC world drops? -- Vysogota 19:58, 15 February 2007 (EST)
We are discussing it right now. Its a definitive no for all Items and Quests. We will share the results of the discussion when we are done Smiley As I said, if you want to join us, check the IRC link. --Adys 20:01, 15 February 2007 (EST)
Why not a template like {{BC/Item}} and {{BC/Quest}}?...--Sky 14:18, 17 February 2007 (EST)

bc equip Edit

Tbh, we really shouldn't have lists like that be that segmented. If anything should happen, it should be the addition of those swords and +fire/frost damage gear, rather than a move back. It seems a little silly to me to have an entire article so specific to one class.
In the end, do whatever floats your bubble. I'm not sure I care enough to stop you. It was one of those offhand moves, like, "why is this so specific?".--Sky 17:36, 3 March 2007 (EST)

RC Patrol Edit

I'm not sure you've noticed, but there are now little red exclamation marks on the RC changes list. :) You don't really need to worry about them. All that I ask is that you go to your Preferences page. From there, go the Editing tab. The second option from the bottom should say "Mark edits I make as patrolled." Could you check that please? :)--Sky (t · c · w) 22:46, 25 March 2007 (EDT)

They're to say "This page has been edited. Can you make sure it wasn't a malicious change?" The group is supposed to go to the differences tab on the RC changelist. On the top right, it will say "Mark as patrolled". Obviously, mark it if it isn't. If it's not, have a chat with an admin or reverse the changes.
When you checked that box, it just means that an exclamation point won't show up next to your edits. I have it checked, and so should the majority of the group. There's a link floating around that can show you who's in what group, which would, for the majority, include the admins as well as a few others.
In any case, you don't need to worry about it. It's just so my eyes hurt a little less looking at all the red. ;P--Sky (t · c · w) 23:43, 25 March 2007 (EDT)

concerning the "no icon outside tooltip" policy Edit

Just curious why you think it should be that way (Fang of Vashj). Looking at Fang of Venoxis, Fang of the Faceless, Fang of Korialstrasz, ... it seemed pretty much in line with "common editing" to me. Furthermore it looks much more pleasant with the large icon. And I think a TOC isn't really necessary in an article that short. --FallingDown 12:37, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

See Help:Item articles. Fang of Vashj is fine, the others are outdated. KasoBot (talk · contr) will take care of this eventually. --Adys 12:42, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
Allright, that's fine with me. In that case I question the boilerplate :) --FallingDown 12:47, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
With the current BP the TOC is not forced, so it'll only show up if a page is a decent length. TeжubԎ Ҩ Ѡ 18:25, 17 April 2007 (EDT)

Vandalism: Molten Core Edit

Any reason you felt the need to Vandalise Molten Core? It's reverted now, but nonetheless, please don't do it again <Kiltek> blah / spam 12:56, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Ah, I see now what you were trying to do. It was simply an editting mistake, for some reason you still had the bosses listed as trash rather than removing them; thought you were making the point that the bosses are much easier now =P Ah well, ignore my comments ;) <Kiltek> blah / spam 13:18, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

preventing edit war Edit

please reply to Talk:BC healing equipment (cloth). thx! Alliance 15HJT (t/c) 12:02, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

BC healing guide - mail Edit

I like the readability of your edit to BC healing equipment (mail), but I feel that we've lost some important data (stamina, intellect, and especially MP5) while giving up important screen space for unimportant text ("Wowhead") and mostly-data-free columns (sockets). Shamans in particular are very sensitive to the level of MP5 on their item. I would much rather that we have an MP5 column, and perhaps an "other stats" column, than spend the screen space as we are currently doing. Oryx 00:19, 30 April 2007 (EDT)

OK, do as you like. I've never played shammy and I don't want to mess something up :-)
PS: Sorry for the delay with answering - I have been abroad for the last week. -- Vysogota T / C 08:20, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
Have a look at what we did to BC healing equipment (cloth) :) --Sky (t · c · w) 08:22, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
Looks nice, thanks. -- Vysogota T / C

edit checking Edit

could you doublecheck your edits, you made a few mistakes on maulgar's loot ;)

Fixed em now,, but you may have done the same thing elsewhere.  - CJ talk / cont  07:50, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
That wasn't his booboo. Check the edit history silly. :) --Sky (t · c · w) 07:53, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, I just started to wonder what's going on since I didn't touch Maulgar's loot for some time :-) --Vysogota T / C

clicky Edit

You're on a roll, no RSI yet? ;) , crazy spam on [1]. hehe  - CJ talk / cont  08:02, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

Well, I'm just doing what I should've done some time ago (and couldn't 'cos I was abroad without Internet access). More Recent Changes spam to come :-) -- Vysogota T / C

re: icons Edit

Ask Adys. He might be more helpful in this regard than I. >_> --Sky (t · c · w) 21:18, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

HyjalEdit

Battle of Mount Hyjal was split, Hyjal Summit is the Instance. Sorry for the trouble.--SWM2448 23:53, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Float parameter in Tooltip Edit

For the Float parameter in the {{Tooltip}} template, could you start using the same syntax as shown in the Help:Item articles template? If you just have "right" as the float parameter, we have issues when transcluding the tooltip into other pages, such as listing the rewards on a quest page. See pages like Basilisk Hide Pants as an example. - ClydeJr - talk - contrib 05:09, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

OK, no problem - I didn't notice that something could be wrong. I'll use the proper parameter from now on. --Vysogota T / C

Black Temple Loot Edit

Either narrow down the table or keep the clr. 1024x768 is the most common resolution, and you shouldn't expect people to have bigger/wider resolutions. At its current width, it collides with the dungeon table on the average screen resolution. Pzychotix (talk · contr) 10:58, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Will do. --Vysogota T / C

Item IDs Edit

When you create new item pages, make sure that the item ID is the correct one.--User:Gourra/Sig2 16:35, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Which item exactly did I do wrong? --Vysogota T / C
Sunflare.-User:Gourra/Sig2 19:08, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I made a typo. Sorry about that, will double check in the future. --Vysogota T / C

User name Edit

Since it seems that you've merged your account name to Vysogota, perhaps you should move your user pages accordingly?--User:Gourra/Sig2 16:38, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Done --Vysogota (talk)

External links section Edit

May I ask why you're removing the external links note from pages? User:Gourra/Sig2 15:45, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I thought it's a temporary stuff that will be removed sooner or later anyway... IMO it's unnecessary bloat but I could leave it be if needed, of course. Vysogota T / C

BR tags Edit

I've noticed a couple of your edits are removing PTR tags, but also changing line break HTML tags from "<br />" to "<br/>" (removing the space). Is there a specific reason for this, or is it a feature of some tool you are using to scrape data from somewhere? I'd like to know, as I've been using the "space added" tag, after having had some of the pages I've edited have the space included (again, for reasons I don't really understand). --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:41, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

No specific reason -- I'm just used to keeping things as simple as possible, removing redundant spaces, unnecessary repetitions and so on. I thought that if both versions work, then the simplier one will be better, but if there's some policy here that says otherwise, I'll respect it of course. --Vysogota T / C
No policy I'm aware of. Just saying some of my edits had the space inserted. I don't much care either way, myself. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:39, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't matter, they're supposed to be stripped out by the renderer. TeжubԎ Ҩ Ѡ 23:53, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
