Still interested in Welcoming Commitee?

Since SilverSide has left the scene, I'm checking to see if people who applied to join community teams he used to head are still interested. Leave a message on my talk page, if you're still interested in welcoming users. --Fandyllic 4:32 PM PDT 25 Apr 2006

Basic tasks for WelComm members

Very easy.

• Put either the {{welcome}} or {{signedwelcome|Purrdeta}} on a new user's discussion page.
  • You might want to take a quick scan of the known vandals list to make sure you're not welcoming vandals.
• Answer quick questions left on your discussion page or direct them to another community team.
• Refer users to an admin (like me) for the really tough issues.
• If you have time, help notify people who were welcomed by inactive WelComm members that WelComm is still around.
  • Look at the list of folks SilverSide welcomed.
  • Put the {{Silversidegone}} (followed by: --~~~ <time/date>) after SilverSide's welcome messages on their discussion pages.
  • Put [ √ ] after the name of the user you notified on the welcomed list.
