Valiance Keep[1] is the major Alliance settlement in the Borean Tundra, similar to Warsong Hold. It has a large steamship in the center of the town[2] and is reached from Stormwind Harbor.[3]

Faction

This city is the alternative for Alliance players wanting to land on Northrend, in addition to Valgarde. It was said that the other choice for Alliance players other than Howling Fjord was a "massive stronghold (complete with a brand new faction leader) and a giant steamship".[4] This town is the other entry port, and it has a steamship, so the new faction leader should be here. They are preparing an expeditionary force to reach Icecrown to defeat Arthas.[5]

The faction associated with the city is called the Valiance Expedition, and the new leader is not Bolvar Fordragon, as he is at Fordragon Hold in the Dragonblight. It may be King Varian Wrynn, aka Lo'Gosh, as a statue of him is located here, but he has been shown in Stormwind.

Under Siege

It appears that the Keep is constantly under attack by the undead Scourge. These monsters have created windholes that supply their troops with a constant line of reinforcements. Alliance players will be tasked to thin out the undead lines and deal strategic blows to the enemy in order to save Valiance Keep from falling.

Trivia

This town was originally called 'Justice Keep', [6] but Blizzard reconsidered and gave it its current name.[7]

The name was recycled as what Tirion Fordring wants to rename Scourgeholme.[8]
