The Hinterlands

Verdantine Boughguard is a level 60 elite dragonkin mob located in The Hinterlands. It roams Seradane, guarding the portal to the Emerald Dream. The portal is inactive however, so running through it or clicking on it currently does nothing. Verdantine Boughguards are always accompanied by a Verdantine Oracle plus either another Vertantine Boughguard or a Verdantine Tree Warder.

Abilities

• Cleave - Inflicts weapon damage plus additional damage to an enemy and its nearest allies, affecting up to 5 targets and knocking them back. As this attack knocks players high up in the air, it can cause huge damage on even high-level players when they fall down. It is suggested that a player fighting this mob is positioned somewhere the pummel will knock him/her uphills (reducing the distance one falls which reduces the damage) or close to something which it is impossible to move through, thus "blocking" the pummel.
• Fixate - Causes an enemy to fixate upon the caster and increases the caster's attack speed by 50% for 10 sec. While the caster is fixated upon the target, the caster is very reluctant to attack anything else.
• Mortal Strike - Inflicts 300% weapon damage and leaves the target wounded, reducing the effectiveness of any healing by 50% for 5 sec.
