Vim'gol the Vile is an ogre boss whose death is required as part of the Ogri'la chain of quests. The encounter is interesting in that the party must stand in five circles of fire to summon him, then take him out.

StrategyEdit

After a while, he will enrage and start to do double damage, which will very quickly kill your party unless you are ready for it. Returning to the circles of fire will prevent this from happening. As of 2/19/08, any bugs with Vim'gol have been fixed and standing in the fire circles does interrupt his Unholy Growth casting phase.

Patch changesEdit

• Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): The fight event for the "Grim(oire) Business" quest at Vim'gol's Circle in the Blade's Edge Mountains now only requires one character to stand within a fire circle in order to summon Vim'gol the Vile. However, it still takes five characters, one in each of the fire circles, in order to interrupt Vim'gol the Vile's Unholy Growth cast.
