Kuros at Blood Watch.

Vindicator Kuros is a draenei vindicator and a member of the Triumvirate of the Hand, the leaders of the Hand of Argus. He is initially found as a quest giver at Blood Watch on Bloodmyst Isle, and acts as a member of the Order of the Silver Hand in the Sanctum of Light.

History[]

Before being a member of the Triumvirate of the Hand, Vindicator Kuros was the student of the former second of the Triumvirate, Vindicator Saruan. He took the place of his mentor after the vindicator vanished and the search for him was abandoned.[1]

Vindicator Kuros is present at Blood Watch in Bloodmyst Isle from where he coordinates the troops of the Hand of Argus, with the other members of the Triumvirate of the Hand, to defeat Kael'thas's blood elves Sunfury who followed them to Azeroth,[2] but also recover medical supplies from the Exodar's cryo-core with the help of a draenei adventurer.[3]

During investigations to find the draenei Galaen,[4] the adventurer discovered the body of Galaen murdered by the blood elves after surviving the crash,[5] and next to him his journal, who describes how both Galaen and Vindicator Saruan were beaten by Matis the Cruel, on orders from Sironas. After reading the journal that was brought to him, Vindicator Kuros ordered all trackers of Blood Watch to hunt down Mathis the Cruel and bring him back alive to be judged.[1]

When Matis the Cruel was taken unconscious to Blood Watch, the blood elf was sentenced to death by a hologram of Prophet Velen for his crimes of genocide against the draenei people. The Blood Knight began to insult Velen, declaring that he and his order did not serve the Light, but that it was the Light that served them. He ends up confessing to Kuros that they already knew everything about O'ros, and that they would also capture her to make her their slave, before expressing the sadistic pleasure he had felt torturing Saruan, and that he would have liked to continue until death as for all other draenei. It was upon hearing these words and blasphemies that Kuros told Matis that it was his last breath before executing him with a single blow of his warhammer, bringing justice and revenge for his mentor. Present throughout the scene and the execution, Velen ordered Kuros to find their source of energy and destroy it.[6]

Following the plan of Velen, with the Sun Gate who has been destroyed[7] and Sironas and her Sunhawks were defeated; the Hand of Argus consequently prevented Prince Kael'thas from invading Kalimdor and corrupting the draenei into demons.[8]

As a member of the Triumvirate of the Hand, Kuros is present during the meeting of the Hand of Argus to discuss their people's future on Azeroth in light of the Exodar's repair. With the Triumvirate, he agreed on the decision that, unless Velen ordered otherwise, within a week the Exodar would take flight for old Draenor to rebuild their second home on Outland and assist the Lost Ones remaining behind.

He is present when Velen himself emerged to quell the unrest between the Vindicators and the Alliance refugees, and announced the decision that the draenei and the Exodar would remain in Azeroth to combat the incoming threat with their allies of the Alliance.[9]
