Notes

This set represents the apex of the hybrid druid itemization. Even raiding hybrids will be hard-pressed to improve upon this set's overall benefits. For non-raiders, this represents a strong upgrade to both the dungeon sets and patchwork armor for any spec. Though at one point it required an intense, long-term battleground grind, with the new honor system the cost is now quite reasonable to attain the entire set.

Purely feral druids can obtain better overall gear through raiding for specific pieces of armor (for example, Malfurion's Blessed Bulwark or the Ghoul Skin Tunic). Balance druids typically benefit from Genesis Raiment from AQ40, or the Cenarion set in Molten Core. Restoration druids, of course, will want the best tier of class gear that their raiding guild can accumulate.

This set goes well with the 3-piece Symbols of Unending Life set; the set is obtainable with either moderate long-term AQ20 raiding, or a long world PVE reputation grind followed by a couple AQ20 raids. Until Naxxramas and the End of Dreams, this represents an ideal combination for the end-game multi-spec druid. Such druids will often also sport the Tome of Knowledge, the only off-hand item in the game with feral-friendly stats. Of course the final option is to use a mod that changes weapons mid-fight to switch between melee and healing.
