The first boss of Hellfire Ramparts wing of the Hellfire Citadel instance in Hellfire Peninsula, a fel orc that wanders the second corridor with two healing adds that cast Spell shadow shadowwordpain [Shadow Word: Pain] on the party.

Abilities

Charge- Knocksback furthest opponent.

Mortal Wound- Undispellable debuff that reduces healing on a target by 5%. Stacks up to ten times.

Heroic mode: Reduces healing taken by 10% per stack instead of 5%.

Retaliation: At ~20% he gains retaliation, watch this especially in heroic mode, as dual wielding characters can easily two-shot themselves.

Strategy

This is not a difficult fight. Gargolmar patrols back and forth with two guards, Watchers, so clear the groups near the end of his patrol path closest to you; if you can handle them, you shouldn't have any problems beating him.

Any combination of CCing the adds and kill order will work, only things to consider are the heals from the Watchers, managing his charge(and not falling off), and the debuff that occurs in Heroic mode. It should be noted that priests can MC the Watchers ( Spell holy greaterheal [Heal], Spell holy renew [Renew] and Spell shadow shadowwordpain [Shadow Word: Pain]), perhaps using them to absorb Gargolmar's charges. Unfortunately, the healing spells have a cooldown of about 20 secs, so it won't be of much help healing the tank.

Heroic

Increased damage from charge, still not very high however. Addition of Healing Wounds.

Paladin's Divine shield will not clear the mortal strike debuff.
