Water Shield
Water Shield Instant cast 0 Mana The caster is surrounded by 3 globes of water, granting X mana per 5 sec. When a spell, melee or ranged attack hits the caster, Y mana is restored to the caster. This expends one water globe. Only one globe will activate every few seconds. Lasts 10 min. Only one Elemental Shield can be active on the Shaman at any one time.

Water Shield is a Nature-based buff. It improves mana regeneration, and when getting attacked, it does restore mana to the caster. It can only proc every few seconds and has three charges.

Notes

• The cooldown before another charge will trigger is 2-3 seconds.
• The mana regeneration provided functions like MP5, thus granting the full bonus while inside the five second rule.

Past changes

• In Patch 2.3, the mana cost was removed (was 50 mana) and its duration has been shortened (was 10 minutes). At the end of its duration, it now grants mana for any remaining globes. In addition, the mana granted per globe has been substantially increased (83/92 to 170/200).
• In Patch 2.3.2, the duration comes back to 10 minutes. The mana granted per globe with rank 2 is about 203/204 mp and wearing the shield gives 50 mp5.
