Weazel's Crater

A large, deep crater located in the northern part of the Shimmering Flats. Its origins are mysterious, but its name suggests either who found it or who created it. Due to that fact that there are often goblin and gnome races around the area in highly dangerous cars (as seen by the many bits of rubble and craters scattered about) perhaps this is a result from a rather unstable invention.
Weazel is the brother of Beezil. Beezil was a pilot who flew the ill-fated zeppelin that crashed in Dustwallow Marsh on its way to Mudsprocket. There were no survivor’s of the crash. Legend and lore arose concerning the ineptitude of Beezil and Weazel causing the family to retire from aviation and withdraw from society. The crater in Shimmering Flats was the result of an experimental craft piloted by Weazel that was powered by an unstable rocket fuel. Since Weazel was secretive about his craft little is known about circumstances leading up to the high altitude plummet to his death.
