Well Read is part of the General achievements added in Patch 3.0.2, just prior to Wrath of the Lich King. This achievement involves reading an assortment of books across the world and instances of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.

The location with the greatest concentration of books is Stormwind City.
