Tips
Windfury is the end-game enhancement buff. It offers up to 40% damage increase to your base melee DPS (if wielding a single 3 second or slower weapon), not counting the +AP bonus granted on 2/7ths of all of your swings. As of 2.01, Windfury procs CAN trigger weapon based procs and enchants -- meaning you could potentially have a Crusader proc 3 times (your normal swing and the 2 Windfury occurrences), or 6 times if you are Dual-Wield Stormstrike specced! Stormstrike can now trigger Windfury as well. Windfury procs that crit will also trigger Flurry, but Windfury procs themselves do not consume Flurry. This means that after getting a high crit Chance, you could have a never-ending Flurry buff!
Slow weapons are recommended for Stormstriking shamans and for PVP in general. Windfury is amazing with slow weapons in PVP. It's like gambling, but with the odds heavily stacked in your favor. The reason behind this fact is due to the fact that Stormstrike and Windfury are NOT normalized, therefore their full benefit is applied instead of being put on a modifier.
In PvE, Windfury should ALWAYS be used. As for PvP, you could theorectically mix-in Frostbrand Weapon to help keep the opponent in Melee Range, but with the changes to Ghost Wolf, as well as you having Earthbind Totems and Frost Shock, Frostbrand Weapon is almost useless. Dual Windfury Weapon will rapidly increase your damage, of course, as the buff is that powerful. Most Shamans are on the fence in regards to using a 2Hander or Dual Wielding in PvP; Either way you should definitely be using Windfury. 2-Handers will provide you with a LARGE amount of burst, but with Resilience a factor now, as well as the dreaded "drought" of Windfury procs, it may be better to do Dual Wield in favor of more consistent, albeit lower, damage.
