This item drops from the Lich King in the 10-man version of Icecrown Citadel.

Notes

This item is believed to be related to Sylvanas Windrunner, who was slain, and turned into a Banshee by Arthas during her time as Ranger-General of Silvermoon. It is speculated that this crossbow once belonged to her and was taken by Arthas as a material evidence of Frostmourne's superiority.
