The Winterfin Caverns is a cave found just behind Winterfin Village in the Borean Tundra. This cave was exposed when an earthquake in Coldarra caused a landslide. A strange makrura (Claximus) came from within and stole away with the Winterfins' tadpoles. When the murlocs went into the caverns to rescue them, they re-emerged, glowing and under the makrura's influence.^[1]
