This companion is a quest reward from 
[10] Remembrance of Auberdine (Alliance). It can also be purchased by Horde players from Apothecary Furrows in Darkshore.
It shrinks in size over time, and when you take it into water it grows back to full size.
Withers emotes the following text when near water:
- Withers absorbs the water, growing back to full size.
It also emotes the above text if a character dies with this companion out. In an act of extreme thirst and desperation, this corrupted tree creature would drink the shed blood from the scene of the death before being forced back to their side. Thus, from the nutrients of its master, Withers reappears at full size.
