Improved Fire Blast is a mage talent increases the critical strike chance of the [Fire Blast] spell and increases its range. As [Fire Blast]'s default range is 30 yards and the default range of most of the other mage spells is 40 yards, one rank is often taken to give a 35 yard working range. This talent is most useful when used in conjunction with 
[Impact].
Notes
Improved Fire Blast previously reduced the cooldown of the [Fire Blast] spell.
Patch changes
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Improved Fire Blast reworked - Increases the critical strike chance of your Fire Blast spell by 4/8% and increases its range by 5/10 yards. - Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Improved Fire Blast moved to tier 1, reduced to 2 ranks, reduces the cooldown by 1/2 seconds.
