Kaldrigos was referred to as "the dread wyrm", slain ages ago by a group of four mortals, presumably dwarves. At least two of the mortals were killed, but it is known that they ultimately triumphed over the blue wyrm.
The battle
The blade of the paladin Tunadil the Redeemer was broken, when he fell upon it while fighting the dread wyrm.
