The Wood of Staves can be found in the western part of the Wandering Isle, accessible only by walking the Elders' Path after one proves their worth. This wood is where pandaren elders both figuratively and literally plant their staves at the end of their lives, typically after passing down their acquired knowledge to one of their promising students. It is one of the most sacred places of the pandaren on the Wandering Isle.

After guiding pandaren players and gauging their worthiness through quests and trials, Master Shang Xi plants his stave here after passing his blessing on to players.
