World of Warcraft (WoW) Error 132

While launching World of Warcraft (WOW) in Windows based PCs some users may encounter an error called the error#132 WOW or simply the Windows error 132. This error appears when the game does not launch. Here are given a few tips which will help you fix this problem:


Diagnose the Computer Memory Edit

Download the Memory Diagnostic tool provided by Microsoft. Install this tool here and follow the instructions. It will be a good starting step to fix WOW error#132.


Adjust Game Settings Edit

By tweaking game's User Interface, cache and temporary files settings you can also avoid the error#132.

Right click World of Warcraft desktop shortcut. Select Properties. In the File Properties dialog, click Open File Location button under Shortcut tab. The target path will open where the game is stored. Delete the folders namely Cache, Interface and WTF.


Use Repair Tool Edit

There is a repair tool provided by World of Warcraft. You can also use this tool to fix error#132. Click Start > Select Run > Type C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Repair.exe

This tool would execute to repair damaged files.


Check for Bad Sectors in your Hard Disk Edit

To check and fix bad sectors in your hard disk use the Windows in-built disk checkup tool.

1. Open My Computer. 2. Right click the drive (Example: C) where World of Warcraft is installed. Select Properties. 3. In the Drive Properties dialog, click Tools tab. 4. Click Check Now button under Error-Checking frame. 5. A prompt will appear on your screen. Mark the box named Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. Then click Start button to begin.
