The Armory

The Armory is a searchable database of information for World of Warcraft. Since the Armory pulls its data from the actual game servers, it is the most comprehensive database on the characters, arena teams, and guilds of World of Warcraft in existence.

While Armory data gets automatically updated, it is not a quite suitable replacement for traditional, non-"life" character databases. This is because it only saves a character's status after their last logout, so there is no way to display multiple sets of gear (for instance, healing, PvP, or resistance sets) or the effects of different talent builds.

When the Armory first came up, many players were concerned that their items and stats were viewable for all to see. This was the core of Blizzard's Tinfoil Hat April Fool's joke.

Beta Status

The Armory is currently in Beta, and as such has had quite a few problems with errors and the speed of the site in general.

Arena Hall of Fame

Every season, the Armory keeps track of the top point-five percent of teams from a Battlegroup's arena teams. These teams are commemorated in the Hall of Fame. Individual members that play more than twenty percent of a team's games are given special rewards such as Nether Drakes and specialized Titles.

Armory Alternatives

To avoid network and interface lag of the Armory, and to show some style differences, a few alternatives have been created.
