NotesEdit

  • Druids start with Rank 1 of this spell automatically.
  • Casting wrath to finish off a target at low health is more efficient than Moonfire and quicker than Starfire.

ImprovementsEdit

Talents Edit

  • Earth and Moon causes your Wrath spell to apply the Earth and Moon effect on your target, increasing magical damage done to that target by 4% per point for 3 points. (13% max)
  • Eclipse gives your Wrath a 19.8% per point chance to give your Starfire an additional 30% crit for 15 seconds for 3 points. (60% max)
  • Improved Insect Swarm increases the damage dealt by Wrath by 1% per point for 3 points while Insect Swarm is on the target. (3% max)
  • Moonfury Increases the damage done by your Wrath spell by 3% per point for 3 points. (10% max)
  • Moonglow reduces the Mana cost of Wrath by 3% per point for 3 points. (9% max)
  • Nature's Focus (Restoration) increases the chance you'll resist spell interruption when casting your Wrath spell by 23% per point for 3 points. (70% max)

Tips and tactics Edit

  • Spamming Wrath does more damage than Starfire over a short period of time, but is not recommended for actual sustained DPS.
  • Wrath, when talented with Starlight Wrath, in addition to the mage spell Scorch are the fastest two spells in the game without an associated cooldown.
  • More often than not, casting Wrath in PvP will be more effective than trying to cast the much longer Starfire spell.
  • When fighting a class that can counterspell, you may find it better to cast Starfire instead of Wrath as the only three druid spells that are not in the Nature magic school are Starfire, Moonfire and Starfall.

Patch changes Edit

  • WotLK Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Eclipse: The benefit to Wrath triggered by casting Starfire has been increased to 30% bonus damage.
