Adamant Wrynn III was the son of King Landen Wrynn and the father of King Llane Wrynn I. He was the ruler of the Kingdom of Azeroth prior to the First War during the opening of the Dark Portal. His wife was Lady Varia, and their only child was King Llane Wrynn.

The rule of King Adamant Wrynn was prosperous and peaceful for many years, prior to the coming of the orcs. Adamant died the year after the initial orcish assault on Stormwind Keep, and was succeeded by his son King Llane. After the first orcish invasion, Adamant pledged to rid the land of the curse of the orcs, but died before that pledge could ever be fulfilled.

Note

According to the Warcraft I manual, Aegwynn first came to the court of Wrynn III. This was revised in the novel Cycle of Hatred to take place in the court of Landen Wrynn.[1]
